That is a very unusual gala lineup... I don't know two of the acts, but Divine Brown, the Canadian Tenors and Great Big Sea could not be more different. Would still go if I were in town... Is that like walking around with your subject and randomly recording their life, or what? Sounds a bit lame... sor of like third tier entourage or something... Dewey beach may have been smaller, but House of Blues (at least in AC) was bigger. There's something about the ambiance of the venue though... a certain crowded ship-like quality that seems a bit apropos.

Not to defend the author, or to perpetuate stereotypes, but did you notice that they're writing for Martiniboys.com? That's not to say that their readership isn't into folk / celtic rock / whatever, but perhaps there's not much room left in their disc changer after filling it with ABBA, Gloria Gaynor, Liza Minelli and Olivia Newton-John

Go figure that as soon as I open my mouth they announce the show. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone who can make it. Slightly jealous that I won't be able to fly out for this one.

I think the ultimate vault song has to be Trois Navires de Ble. I love the song, I almost know all the lyrics, I would die to hear it. There seem to be a lot of vault songs on the new album. Haven't heard Heart of Stone. Have only heard hard case once. Love them both. Would love to hear them more often.
