Guinness/Newfoundland crossover
So, today, I happened upon an ad for Guinness that had "extra cold" written on it. Being that I am currently obsessed with my upcoming August excursion 'round to Newfoundland, I started to get an idea. And this is what I came up with.
and also this
So? Is it lame in a mildly funny way or just lame in a lame way?

I think it's cute. Although you could try it with "Extra Cod" instead.... would work well for a bottle of screech. :-)

Those are really funny, you guys. Actually, now that I think about it, I could put all sorts of stuff in the little slogan. Extra Fun. Extra Friendly. Extramarital?

Haha....I concurred with the whole extra cod thing....right up until I read the extra friendly/ extramarital one, whereupon I immediately changed my vote (although I'm nowhere near married), and in spite of the poor overfished tommy cods, lol.

Very nice actually, don't let Living Planet see those. ;) I think locals and tourists here would like those. Why not contact Licing Planet, maybe they buy ideas like that. http://www.livingplanet.ca/

Why thank you :) I actually know of Living Planet - I once admired their "Free NFLD" logo on one of Sean's shirts and had to track it down. I doubt they'd have any interest in the design, but maybe I will try to contact them . . . eh, what could it hurt? Actually, a couple weeks ago, I discovered CafePress's design templates and went on a little semi-creative Newfoundland-centered binge. This is the other one I came up with (yeah, it's silly, but I was in a silly mood) -
It's fun seeing your designs on actual STUFF.

Re: Guinness/Newfoundland crossover
Thank you :) I am seriously considering getting a tote bag made with that logo to take with me to Newfoundland this summer, but I don't know if a) Newfoundlanders would feel offended/objectified by this ("Hey! Eyes up HERE, you randy Yankee!") and b) if one can legitimately call Newfoundland a province, since it's technically Newfoundland and Labrador.

Well, I can't speak for the citizens of Newfoundland, but I think the design is cute and fun. I like it a lot.
