Boyd played the kielbasa on Jack Hinks.  And he was 12.  Is that legal?

To me it means Polish sausage or innuendo - I have no clue what they're talking about, but from here it sounded at least unhealthy!

I know I am not an instrument expert, but a polish sausage? Confused I really thought that's what he was saying!

AHHH, a cabasa -- still didn't mean anything to me --

    Cabasa

Ah!  The hand-held shaker thingy that I used to drive my grade 3 teacher nuts with!  I remember that thing now...but I never knew the proper name.

Ah, Séan - OK, now we know for sure it was innuendo!  "Kielbasa" - sheesh...

    Love, Columbine (shake that kielbasa!)

    Re: New GBS Podcast

I think Bob owns the innuendo. Sean  said cabasa and Bob repeated "kielbasa." LOL! Must have been hungry when they did the podcast!

And Bruce MacPhee plays a mean set of bagpipes plus he's cute to boot! Boyd also plays pipes.

I was at the one in Halifax in '98, I put some pictures from that show up a couple of weeks ago, link below, which made me think of the day. The one I was at really was a lot of fun, great music, great crowd, not so great weather but we didn't really notice until the end of the night. Good memories.

Great pictures!  Is it just me or do Séan and Bob look today very much like they did in your pictures from the 98 Picnic?  No aging -- Men...sheesh...or maybe there is a picture of Dorian Gray in their respective attics? winked

Word to that.  Those are some fine fantastic photos as well.  Especially that lovely come hither look Alan has.  (And I'll never object to photos of the b'ys when they were nearer to my age).  Seriously, though, these are, like, pro-quality.

Man.  Sounds like those were fun, but yeah, I can only imagine the hassle the b'ys went through.  It sounds like the Festival, and down here, it takes a whole bloody committee a good year at least.

Cracked me up.  Sean and Bob trying to do Jamacian accents.  And the whole "I'll crank that bodhran up loud as ****!" thing.  Heh.

Where's Alan been on these podcasts?

Well Jenny is a photographer... she's taken some of the best photos of the GBS fellows I've seen over the years. I know her equipment is pro-quality, certainly, whether or not she is making her living at it.

Nice pics, lawner... as always.  It's nice to see "new" photos of Darrell (meaning, ones I haven't seen).  Smiles

    Re: New GBS Podcast

I wanted to go to a Great Big Picnic.  I talked about how I was going to go to the Maritimes and see a Great Big Picnic.  I never made it there.  Then I made it to New Brunswick May '99 and I thought "YAY I'm going to a picnic".  Was I there....noooo I missed them allllllll.  Life goes on...

I wonder what kind of fines they had to pay?

Where was I for Stardust Picnic in Calgary?  In the Maritimes.
