Other than those naughty ones you ladies might have of Sean .... ANyone else ever dream of Great Big Sea? I had two this week. Don't remember the first one, but the last one I was in a big kitchen (a party!) and making sandwiches for people - roast beef, ham and pastrami, 3 kinds of cheese, but I couldn't remember who wanted what! Someone started singing End of the World, but either couldn't sing it fast enough or couldn't remember all the words so we started singing Ordinary Day. Alan was standing to one side smiling, eating a sandwich!

I've had lots of GBS dreams, too many to count! Some are daydreams I've had one repeatedly occuring, tho' not this past week. I'm at a party in a castle or something grand with beautiful gardens. Everyone is dressed up, and I'm wearing a nice dress. I'm drunk and I end up outside in the pouring rain sitting on a bench with the intoxicating smell of flowers all around. I have a bottle of something and I keep drinking. The garden is on a cliff that overlooks the ocean and the waves are crashing. Sean comes out and joins me on the bench and we pass the bottle back and forth, and I am crying, an emotional drunk, and the storm rages on...

I thought about starting a thread like this when I read and posted elsewhere about my own dreams (not many and not really exciting), but I wasn't sure how well it would fare... And hey, Mike! I've never had a dirty Sean dream... Actually, I've never had a dirty dream of any kind, come to think of it... is that abnormal? It is, isn't it?

Since this is here and I don't have to go search out the Great Big Dreams thread... Who, me? Lazy? Had
one...last week sometime, I guess. The B'ys were
performing...don't know if it was a concert or a kitchen party or what,
but there were a lot of folks around having a good time. They
start the intro to "Scolding Wife" and Alan does the "And if the devil
would take her..." bit the way he's been doing but, when he opens his
mouth to start the first verse, Murray jumps in and sings it. The
customary, "Hey, Bob!" at the end then becomes, "Hey, Al!" Alan
kind of um's and er's his way through the verse while the others laugh
at him and then passes Murray's usual verse off to Sean who apparently
completely blanks on the lyrics and stands there with his mouth open
and no sound coming out. Everyone cracks up, including me... and
I wake up laughing. That's the first time in a long time that
I've had a dream where I woke up that happy. I was literally
giggling.

I had one a couple weeks ago that I went to a GBS show and spent a good deal of time afterwards hanging out and joking around with Bob. He started goofing around when I was trying to get all the b'ys to autograph my concert ticket, and I'd already gotten Alan and Murray to sign it when I found Bob and asked him to do the same. He signed it, looked at it, then put it in his pocket! I said, "Hey, Bob, I'm gonna need that back, I still have to get Séan and Kris to sign it!" And he said, "Oh, I'll bring it back to you next year." (Great Big Sea plays AZ maybe once a year, if we're lucky.) Then he started grinning mischieviously at me and walking away. I followed him and we got to talking about how I was introduced to their music and what I like about it and he told me really cool stuff about his vision for the band and his favorite things about being part of GBS, but I can't remember any of what he said. More's the pity. Of course, even in the dream I didn't have my camera, and didn't think to use the one on my cell phone until he had to get on the bus and leave. It was a pretty cool dream, though!
God's favorite joke since 1984.

I was at my house and was having Cinommon(sorry if I spelled it wrong) buns for breakfast, But Alan was staying and he got up very early and ate them. If that was weird enough, there was an earthquake when he was there.

MasterVolo:Alan jumped out of the shadows, smashed it over the head with a guitar, and ran off laughing.
I totally want that dream. I've had three...but I've posted before, so I'll be brief. The first only involved me playing with Alan's hair. That's all I remember (I've got a thing for playing with hair and his is soooo pretty). One involved me and my friend seeing them at a concert, running into them on the bus and trying to take a photo. Murray wanted to be in it, so he tried to jump over Alan to be in front, but he fell on top of Alan and my friend, and the whole thing turned into wacky roughhousing. In the other, I got to go to a big kitchen party. They were there, but not he focus.

To be honest with you, I've never had a naughty GBS dream, but I've had several over the past several years. They are always very long, involved and interesting. Alan is usually in them, sometimes Sean, rarely Bob (actually I can't remember if Bob has ever been there). Darrel and his wife were there once, swimming in an indoor pool, but I can't for the life of me remember the context of that dream. I know I had one fairly recently, but I can't remember it now. We have a GBS dreams topic on the go somewhere I may have posted it there if it wasn't too personal and very transparent in meaning! ... Like the dream I had before my divorce about my ex and I rowing in a tiny boat, in opposite directions. Him toward the shore. Me out to the open sea. We were moving nowhere. See what I mean...? Very transparent meaning!

Columbine:I had one recently (think it ended up in the Bobites thread) about being roommates with Bob. He was the first GBS band member I ever dreamed about years ago, but it was a lousy start - I dreamed that I painted his toenails with hot-rod metalflake blue nail polish while he was sleeping, just for a joke, but it totally infuriated him and he refused to speak to me! In general, when I dream about GBS, they're like old friends I've known for ages.
Love, Columbine
Just wondering Columbine, is that dream in any way connected with the neon hot bloomers you tossed at Bob onstage, while completely awake and cognisant?!
