Every year I go to New Brunswick to visit friends. Then we will go to P.E.I or Halifax. This year we are going to Newfoundland since we have never been there. I want to go during the George Street Festival as all the people I know from the Rock tell me that I have to experience the this.

Does anyone know when it will be this year so I can plan my trip around it??

George Street Festival is always the week of the Regatta, isn't it? The Regatta is the first Wednesday in August, I believe. And the first weekend of August is the Folk Festival.

You got it Anne. So this year it'll be July 26-Aug 1/2nd. The Regatta is on August 2nd (weather permitting) and the folk festival will be Aug 4-6th.

Anne, are you planning on driving/ferrying up for any of the festivals this summer? Jim mentioned you drove up for Atlantic Fest last summer.
