    Next Year...

Fingers (toes, arms, legs, ears if necessary) crossed, I hoping to be able to make a return trip to St Johns/NFLD sometime next year - if everything works out...  I might even have some friends in tow!

I'm wondering if there is any particular time of year that the band tend to play around "home". We haven't decided on a date for the trip yet - and it'd be great if I could organise the trip to co-incide with a GBS show!  I know the odds are against me actually being able to get this to work out, but it's gotta be worth a try...

Unfortunately, I'll need to give my friends at least 9 months warning (eek - looks like it might be 2011 before I get back then!) for them to organise finances, vacation etc; so I can't wait until gigs are announced on the website...

    Any ideas/advice gratefully received!

(PS, being from a VERY small island, and probably only being on your very BIG island for one week, a looong road trip is probably not going to happen, not "just" to see a band!)

A hug is the perfect gift - one size fits all and nobody minds if you give it back.

    Re: Next Year...

Hi AnnaEngland...although I am not a "local",I think I can quite accurately advise that the b'ys very rarely play around "home" unfortunately. If I am not mistaken, the only semi-regular gig that they have done in St.John's in many years would be the Great Big Christmas show at the Delta in December (and still no word of one this year, so you can imagine it might be hard to plan in advance for one if you need 9 months notice). Sorry to say, hitting them for a show on their turf might be quite difficult. If you REALLY want to take your chances on getting to a show on Canadian soil...you should come to Southern Ontario instead...lol...we are quite GBS spoiled here (THANKFULLY). But alas...it is not nearly as beautiful as the Avalon Peninsula :( Oh well...good luck planning your trip!
