    Big interview tomorrow!!!--Monday 7/13/09

I have a major job interview tomorrow afternoon at the Wilton Library in Wilton, CT. They're looking for a part-time Circulation Assistant.  This is my first opportunity for paid library work I've ever had.

The prayers and positive vibes of the OKP would be greatly appreciated!!!

I met with the Director and Head of Circulation. From where I sit, things went pretty well. They said that they should make a decision within the next week or so.

Meantime, I'll be receiving some income from my receiving job coaching and with The Kennedy Center, which is a non-profit vocational rehab agency that works with people like me who have disabilities. The State of CT's Bureau of Rehabiliation is also working with me in this area.

Essentially, due to my conditions, I need a little help getting a job and keeping it.

Something will click eventually, library job or no.  While library work would be ideal, I'd gladly settle for an office admin position or a job in a bookstore.

I have my fingers crossed for you - I worked in the campus library when I was in college and loved it.  If hubby and I ever win a lottery, we want to open our own bookstore - specializing in mysteries.

Hello, all. Sorry for the long lapse in posting.  I thought I'd give you all the official results.

I got a letter from Karen Zeiback [the Circulation head] at the Wilton Library informing me that the Ciruclation position was filled. As with all job searches, it's cool when the prospective employer follows up with the jobseeker, good news or bad.

I'll check the CLC [Connecticut Library Consortium] Jobs page again & see if there's anything new there. I'll continue to keep you all posted.
    Back to the drawing board..........
