    Tarrytown Oct 10

GBS comes to the Tarrytown Music Hall on October 10. I am not sure if I am going to this show, I have tix for the next night in Long Island. I saw Gaelic Storm at the Tarrytown Music Hall last spring and I have to tell you this is an excellent venue. Small classic old time theater with great sound, about 20 miles north of NYC. The theater is in the middle of town, so there are places to eat and drink. The only drawback is that there is not much parking at the theater and you have to try to find parking at the lots around town and its a bit of a hassle. Other than that, I am sure all who are going will have a great time John

For those who are in NYC (or can easily drive here), Tarrytown is less than an hour away from the city by Metro North Railroad - and, according to Google Maps, the station is a short distance from the venue. Last train to NYC is about 1 am, I think.

Gonna get my tix tomorrow - hope to see friends there (you included, John :)

    Re: Tarrytown Oct 10

I opted to bypass the Long Island show. I hate driving to the Island.

I am happy to see a show in Tarrytown. I, like many, will be clogging up the site at noon today to get my ticket. A Saturday night is better for me. I have all day Sunday to recouperate from the show.

I wouldn't mind back to back GBS concerts depending on the locations :) I can never get enough GBS.

Woohoo. Against my better judgement and all common sense (as well as a husband who will be spending the night in a hotel room with the baby) Kaesye and I managed confirmation for rows a-c.

Order 2 tickets for the seats in rows D-L sections since they were cheaper. Can't wait to see the guys again. Hopefully I can photograph the show again as well :)

'Bout time I go to a show that I don't have to travel over an hour to go to haha.

Got 2 in A-C. Man that system stresses me out every time. :P I think I just have bad timing.

Looking forward to another late-o-clock metro north back to the city. At least this one's on a weekend. :D

    Re: Tarrytown Oct 10

    I got my ticket for rows A-C.  I hope I am in A :)

Normally I am a mezzanine, balcony ticket holder. Not for GBS. Put me in the front with everyone dancing and singing.

They must have done some major server upgrades. I got it within the first thirty seconds. The last time it took me 10 min to get my ticket for NYC venue.

     John,

Thanks for letting us know there are plenty of places to have dinner before the show in the area. That is very helpful. I may get there mid afternoon and walk around a bit.

    Re: Tarrytown Oct 10

Despite trying consistently just before and some time after noon, I couldn't get rows A-C.  I think because I need a larger number of itckets (7 of us will come at least), I just couldn't get through.  So we'll be somewhere in rows D-L.  My friend here got 5 in D-L as well; same thing happened to her.  Oh well, we can't be in the front row every time!  We'll dance, clap, sing, "maximize the vertical movement", and display the "bouncy bits" proudly from a bit further back for this one.  Hope the venue allows some forward movement and dancing in front of the stage, at least for the encores.

    Looking forward to "rocktober"!

    Re: Tarrytown Oct 10

With only 37 seats in rows A-C you've had to be one of the absolute first to submit to get 7 seats. Next time you might want to consider divide and conquer. 2 of you getting tickets for 3-4 seats each. In the notes section at the end you could always ask if it's possible to be seated in the same vicinity but be willing to be  seat separately.

    Re: Tarrytown Oct 10

Actually there are 71 seats in rows A-C. You need to add in the 17 seats on the left and the 17 on the right side. I agree with your suggestion for ticket purchasing strategy.

I'll get my tickets as soon as my financial advisor--I mean Mother---approves.  It's her $$$$ I'm spending, so stuff like this has to go through her.

Any OKP events that day I should know about?

Got my train & show tix:-)

Orchestra Center Row L Seat 101.  Between Stages Alan & Murray if I remember correctly.  My plan is to get to Tarrytown by 5-ish that night to allow for any OKP festivities that are happening.
