WHB 10/11/09 [aka Westhampton Beach, NY]

How excited am I that I only have to travel 5 minutes down the road to see a concert Big Smile Surprise

When I got the presale email I thought it was a teaser.Umbrella But OH NO.

I hope they bring the bus, but I doubt it.  I would love to take a picutre of it where all the tour busses for PAC shows park !

An hour and a half from NYC.  I plan to rent a car and head out for it (and come back after the gig).  If anyone needs a ride from NYC, let me know.

Here is, I think, a first when it comes to the timely-ness of GBS posting their own tour dates. This is the first time where I have checked where GBS has the date posted and tickets on sale BFORE the venue has it listed on web site! In the past I have been vocal about the lead time on show notices by the management/web site of this band. Is someone listening out there or is this just a shocking coincidence? And a show in October, I may just take the Bridgeport Ferry and come see this one, now affordable lodging in the Hamptons.....hmmmmmmm

MoneyPenny, is ther room for camping on your estatBouncee?

I looked at staying in town and the MOTEL was over $100 a night.  It would be great to find a cheap place and stay the weekend.

This place: http://www.enclaveinn.com/index.shtml I checked pricing/availability for one of their hotels in the vicinity of Southampton College $89/night for one.

http://www.budgethosteastend.com/ is in Riverhead which would be convenient, especially to the expressway[495].  But they appear to be the same price per room/night.

I would go with Enclave b/c Budget Host doesn't look so hot from the outside.

I'm in too. Happy that they'll be here on our island— have to wonder if a Manhattan date could be later in the week....

We'll see how the presale goes in the am-Good luck everyone-

    Hope to see you there!

I hope so too ! The day after the show is Canadian Thanksgiving and I assume the B'ys'll want to be back home for that.

    Any campgrounds nearby ?

I got my 4 at 10:01...whoo hoo!  A bunch of friends from college are going too but they're striking out with the presale.  Hope tickets are still available for them.  Tiny little venue, on Long Island...AWESOME!

Yay, John and Joyce...we're gonna have fun!  And to meet Nick for the first time, tell me, does it get any better than this?  Bounce

Re: WHB 10/11/09 [aka Westhampton Beach, NY]

It happened so fast.  I was blocked out for 15 minutes and then suddenly I had tickets. I wasn't even given a choice of seats.  Its a small theater, it'll be ok.  But is it a seated GA thing I missed somewhere?

Re: WHB 10/11/09 [aka Westhampton Beach, NY]

    Total bust of a pre-sale.  10:02....nothing.  Nice.

Are they doing GA for the rest f the show?

B/c I've looked at the rest of the building's shows-their prices are ridiculous.

My friends aren't going to want to hear about most of the tickets in the building being $100 or more.

If anyone has the inside story about what's going on at this gig, please PM me.

    Thanks.

If you're still online, I'd give it another crack-

I had some hit and miss early on/ but got three tickets at about 10:20-I think the system (like many) just has problems with multiple orders at once-

    Give it a shot-
