I saw great big sea a few years back in the UK but its been a while, I missed them last time they were over which was a shame but help is at hand. As you may know Glasgow is probably the best city in the UK for live music....discuss. One band that Im enjoying at the moment who have the Great Big Sea vibe is washington irving who have just released their first single "The magician", which could be twinned with GBSeas "Ordinary Day". They are basically an upbeat folk indie band which are just starting out. Uncle Buck is another brilliant tune. I was at their single launch the other week and the crowd was a good mix of ages which is another GBS trait. GBS have kitchen partys Washington Irving have bake sales!!
