So hopefully my wife won't add the latest tickets for the Toronto concert to the groups on our bulletin board. Saw Great Big Sea in Ottawa a few years ago and then before we opened our new business decided to go and see them in the heartland St John's. Alan unfortunately had a back ache and the concert was pushed a week later. Wedidn't make it but did use the air tickets we had the next year to visit St John's. Took in a Fog Devils game and cod tongues. Only able to make it for the weekend. I had the bright notion of going to Gander the last time around but never made it. Driving for a whole bunch of hours from Ontario didn't quite make the week we had off feasible.

This time Toronto - 3 hours away - on the only weekend we don't have something booked - Wish us luck

Welcome to the OKP. Interesting nickname. Care to explain? I did like cod tongues the first time I tasted them but not the other times. DId you have fish'n'chips with dressing and gravy? Mmmmmmm. That's the next delicacy to try. Isn't St. John's great?

I hope you  make it to the show!  Anne and I both had tix to Gander and neither of us made it either...there have actually been 3 GBS tickets I've had and not used for different reasons...

My very first GBS ticket I thought was for a Sunday night show....turned out to be Saturday...I blew it!  At least they were doing a short radio show a couple hours away on the Sunday and I did manage to ctach a 7 song show!  The guys all signed my unused ticket from the previous night, so it ended up being worth something after all!

The second came 2 months later when they were supposed to play Red Rocks and they missed their flight from Edmonton to Denver...the show was cancelled.

And then Gander....just couldn't afford the airfare...

So, I know how you feel!   But..... if you can't make Toronto for soem reason, I'd love to take the tix off your hands!!!!!
