Help for the Power CHord CHallenged

I'd be ever so grateful if someone who actually knows power chords could help me out - Here's the video to will.i.am's It's a New Day. We are singing it for the inauguration day at school. the guitar kids would like to play the power chords. ANyone help me out? You'll have to tell me exactly where to put my fingers. I am clueless that way.   Thanks in advance.

Power Chords?  Are you just looking for a guitar tab for the song?

No tab- power chords - those movable chords that follow some pattern up and down the frets. Usually two or three-finger chords. Not barre chords

Maybe someone else knows what you are looking for.  There are no power chords in that video!  (Unless I fast forwarded past them!)

usually "power chords" are just the bottom 3 notes of the barred major chord.  In other words, the E A and D strings.  So an Amajor power chord is just the notes A E A played on the 5th and 7th frets.

    Mike,

I know there are none shown in the video. I wanted to know what chords he was playing. I haven't been able to figure them out by ear and thought perhaps they were chords that I didn't know or those elusive "power chords" that I never learned about till 6 months ago.

I will still try to mess with the audio portion to see what chords he is playing, but if anyone out there can help me, I'd appreciate it.
