I just wanted to say thank you to the guys of Great Big Sea for one FANTASTIC show last night!  They were amazing, entertaining, funny and charming.  I cant' say that I have ever been to a better show.

Great set list and great energy from the band - I unfortunately was sitting around people who stayed sitting down - WHAT UP WITH THAT???? I however, did not...my arse barely graced the seat I had happily paid for!

Sean - Gallows Pole was awesome...nice work

Have tickets for Thursday's show as well - no, not on purpose ( I was surprised with tickets for Barrie - already had Kitch. ticks).

This was my first GBS concert and WOW!, was I tickled! Loved the variety of songs performed (old and new), loved the energy, loved the boys! What a thrill!

Went down from Sudbury. I had seen them earlier in July at the Molson Amphitheatre.

 The Awesome:

-The show was amazing, great sound and lots of entertaining dialogue between the guys

-They played Chemical Worker, Charlie Horse and Dream to Live, songs which I hadn't heard live before

 

The bad:

Four encore songs and no Straight to Hell?!?!  What were they thinking? Maybe I just have an unhealthy obsession with this song? I don't know. I would be pretty disappointed if I hadn't seen it in July.

I was kinda expecting STH as well but alas another day perhaps. Great show some real tall people in Barrie, sounded great from where I was but my view was limited but, what I did see was great as well. Hoping for more shows in the spring when driving weather is more predictable. Sean was very chatty I don't think I have ever heard him speak so much at a show, sure gave Alan a run for his spotlight! Bob's solo was amazing I think that boy has some little seen talents yet!
