    Los Angeles and Santa Barbara

Home (and back to work - blech) from my California Trifecta weekend of LA, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo - what a FABULOUS time!  Pictures have been loaded into the Shutterfly collection for the LA HOB show and the one at the Lobero Theater in Santa Barbara.  The link is here:

HOB is pretty sticky about their "no camera" policy, so I didn't take many, although when Mr. Crowe hit the stage, and I saw all of the cellphones come out, I took my chances and snapped a few.  The Spano Theater in San Luis Obispo also had a no camera policy, and I was a good girl that night (hey, it can happen ONCE in a while! Wink) and adhered to their policy.  Posting a few below...

    Enjoy!

Thank you so much for posting those, Kim!  I didn't get any pics so seeing those is great.  The camera on my phone is horrible and I didn't sneak my regular camera in.

It was also great to meet you.  How was SLO?

SLO was great fun!  The crowd seemed to be into the show - lots of clapping along, although seated for pretty much all of the show.  That part just about killed me!!!  My pal joked that she thought I was going to break my seat - lots of bouncing in my chair - but did manage to get verticle for a few songs at the end of each set.  Phew!  Big Smile

The setlist (which I did have in my hot little hands, but lost somewhere between the venue and the car - d'oh!) was much the same as Santa Barbara, but did have some differences, including a solo by Kris which was awesome!!  (Murray did a pretty amazing job in SB, by the way).  We also got "Dream to Live", which just completely blows me away every time I hear it live - WOW!

I agree with you about Dream To Live...I like it on the cd, but it's so much more powerful live!  It just blows me away!

I'm hopeful it will be on the set list for Portland.

    Cheers!

Lucky!  DTL is my fave - as I believe I've mentioned once or twice around here...  Angel  I was thrilled to have it at the HOB but it would have been great at the intimate Lobero.  I almost shouted it out to Sean since I was practically standing at his feet but the moment never felt right.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll do it on the cruise.

Thanks for the SLO review, Sue!
