    New Contest

Just received my GBS newsletter and saw a new contest.  I consider myself quite a fan but man are those questions tough!!  I don't know if I will be able to answer and enter, but good luck to those of you who can!

    Re: New Contest

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks those questions are tough! I'm looking forward to seeing the answers to some of them.

I imediately thought of Anne too. Especially for the Danny/fiddle tune question.

    Re: New Contest

I thought of Anne, Andi, or Helen.  I can answer many of those questions, but I'm not going to enter simply because there aren't any dates that I can make it to due to me living in St. John's.  If there was a show here during the dates they are offering I'd try my best and send in my answers.

    Ha!

I popped in here to see who knew enough to answer the questions. If I spend a few days actively thinking, I might be able to anwer most. I can answer about half without thinking too hard. And there are some I just have no clue about. It's a toughie. I wonder if Teddy could answer them all.

Anne (who is pretty sure she can answer the Danny/fiddle question)

I have no idea what the answers to most of those questions would be but I had fun making up anwers to some of them.  I won't be entering, but will they post the answers after the contest is done?

    Re: New Contest

Some of the questions are a little vague. Who's written the most songs. Are we talking released GBS ones? Are we talking overall? Are we talking about some silly, off-hand remark someone said?

    Re: New Contest

I consider myself an obsessed fan--with less than two weeks to go to the Portland show, I am truly a ditz, unable to think of anything but GBS...my therapist called me a "teenybopper".  I wasn't a teenybopper when I was a teenager!!!  But when I saw those questions, I realized how much of a fan I wasn't.  Most of those questions I have no clue about.  It's reassuring to see that other people think it's tough too.  I'd REALLY feel stupid if everyone else could do with one hand tied behind their back.  But one question keeps running through my head, the one about the band calling Kris "Mac Daddy".  I didn't even know they did; that's how pathetic I now realize I am.  I guess I'll just sing at the concerts and forget about trivia.  Where DID Tosh get his name?  Who knows....

Ok, if you can't answer them, there is no hope for the rest of us...regarding the Danny question, Should I be idle when I'm thinking of this answer?
