*The Atlanta Kitchen Party (Cara Stucky, John Burnet, Joanne Mei, Tim Porterfield, and assorted special guests) is a nod our neighbors up north (Canada, not Cumming!) and specifically to the concept that entertainment and song originates from the warmest place in the house (the kitchen). Our group simply moves the concept down to Atlanta and places it in a coffeehouse!  Mind the low ceiling beams if you are tall.  Expect enthusiastic renditions of songs from Great Big Sea (www.greatbigsea.com), as well as a few tasty covers thrown into the soup.  Audience participation (sing-a-long) is encouraged and supported - we'll pass out the lyric sheets to make it easier for you!"

Arg! Wish I'd seen this earlier, I woulda been there in a heartbeat tonight! I would definitely love to be at the other gigs too though and do some singing and bodhranning! I'm currently performing most Sundays from around 5-10pm at the Harp Irish Pub in Roswell with an AWESOME Irish folk rock musician named Paddy Connolly. It's sort of a gig/session so please all you Atlanta folks feel free to come up to Roswell this Sunday, or any Sunday...you may end up on stage. :) Lotsa GBS fans there too. Paddy is also playing tomorrow night at the Harp so I'll be there. www.theharpirishpub.com for directions. Look for the drunk chubby redhead sitting near the stage. :)

Sorry you missed us.  We had a great time.  Greenman joined us on his drum to round out our sound.  We'll be back at the Daily Grind on September 26, so maybe we'll see you then.

I'd like to get to the Harp one of these days but most Sundays, by the time I am done running errands and prepping for the week to come, it's 9 pm and bedtime!
