    Kandahar Afghanistan

Here's somthing to keep in mind guys. From 1993 when you were in Gander with the Irish Descendants and Kelly Russell bouncing back and forth from the Flyer's Club to Sidetrax, to Halifax, Fredericton and last year at the Capital EX in Edmonton I've taken in every show I could see, and never been disapointed. I'm currently in Kandahar Afghanistan and I've had the chance to see Blue Rodeo, a couple of British Tour shows and even Toby Keith was here but his show got rocketed and he wasn't able to finish.(ha-ha) After every show we all sort of gather around and discuss who we would love to see over here I mentioned one night how about GBS. Everyone just sort of paused and it was like can you imagine the reaction of the crowd to a kitchen party by GBS, it would be outstanding. Even without alcholol involved it would be the perfect venue for you guys and if you contact your buddies at Blue Rodeo I'm willing to bet they'll tell you it's a excursion you'd never forget. To bad General Hillier wasn't still at the helm, he would have jumped at a opportunity like this. PO2 Miller, now residing in Edmonton but originally from George's Brook, Trinity Bay.

Can I just say Thank You?  The men and women who are over there are Canada's finest, and while we mourn when we hear of casualities, we are so proud of all that you have done and continue to do, and I, for one, am very grateful that there are people like you who are willing to lay it on the line in service to your country.  Thank you.
