Bless, it was fantastic seeing so many familiar faces, smiling bright smiles at Doolin's tonite ^_^ Tonite will be my happy thought for some time to come.

For now, though, I'm content to bask, and sleep as soon as possible (perchance to dream? ;)) while the good feelings are so fresh... Meaning I'll leave the show-reviews to those who have set lists and photos. No one  here needs me to point out that I still think the boys are amazing :)

 Instead, I'll plug a show that Lilly and I were fortunate to attend last week, when it opened at the Granville Island Stage, and that will play through August 2nd of this year. If you're in town and you enjoy east coast music and canadian comedy, consider giving local theatre a little love:

The Back Kitchen Release Party was a hit with audiences at last year's Fringe Festival, and has won the Jessie Richardson Award for Ensemble Performance. It features, as I understand, a quintet of local theatre miscreants who decided to build a show around, well golly, east coast music. The premise is the re-gathering of former band members, playing gigs across Canada in order to afford the travel to attend a friend, and founding member's, memorial service. It's sweet, it's entertaining, it's musical, it's over-flowing with a green, pink and white set... And more people need to attend who will actually clap to the beat!

Back Kitchen: come for the music, stay for the Star Trek spoofs.
