    Dia Duit

I am fairly new here, and I am glad to be here. I am an Irish lady, from Omagh, N. Ireland, and now living in Indiana, USA, temporarily.  I love the band, have for a long time and love the new site.

I fancy the new sound, and love how these guys apresent this infusion in their music with Celtic sounds. Keep it up, as it is your signature and our treasure.  I listen to the band every day. Even on trips back home, and some have heard of them back there! (in Dublin). I am a traditionalist when it comes to Celtic music, but I listen to High Kings, Flogging Molly and Enya, Loreena McKennit, Proclaimers and more. Diverse I say, right? My new found favorite is Bowfire. Awesome show.

Again, looking forward to sharing with you and peace to everyone,

Welcome Aboard, Ceol!  And welcome to the States, too!

We came to the the US from England for a "short stay" -  that was in 1967 - we're still here!  I hope you enjoy your time in the US, however short orlong it may end up being!

    Re: Dia Duit

The name Cèol means "music" in Gaeltacht.  My given name is Carron, and spelled Karen in the USA. I was named after Lochcarron, (a lake in Scotland's No. Highlands), by my grandmother, as as she was Scottish and from there.   I spell it Karen, as it is the American version. Saves time explaining how to spell it. I am always asked "is that with a K or a C", then when I say "K", they spell it wrong, when I say "C", they spell it wrong, so I went to Karen, which is always spelled right, go figure. Whatever....it is me. lol. I chose the name Cèol, because of 2 reasons: 1. my father called me "cèolmhor" (musical) and 2: because I have been close to music all my life and even toured as a lighting technician for rock bands for many years, so music is in my blood. My grandfather and father were musicians.  I think it is a universal language. Many people cannot speak English, but sing songs in English. I have been here for 2 years.

Thank you for asking and for the welcome....peace
