I love my crock pot! Especially in the winter. It just feels so comforting Todya I have a new pot roast recipe cooking in it. Its from a friend and at first I thought "that sounds disgusting" but omgosh it smells SO good! So here it is 2 small pot roasts ( or one large about 5 lbs total) 1 envelope Italian dressing 1 envelope Ranch dressing 1 envelope brown gravy 1/2 C water Brown the roast on the stove, while its browning, combine all 3 envelopes and the water in a small bowl. Whisk together. Transfer roast to crockpot pour mixture over and cook for 7-8 hours. Like I said I know it sounds gross but it smells great! Ill let you know how it turns out. I have also added Yukon Gold potatoes and carrots to the pot.

Oh, I love my crock pot too Binny! It's kinda like "Cooking for Dummy's" and that recipe that you posted above, is just up my alley! I have an easy one too.... You place thick cut pork chops in the bottom of the pot. Mix up a box of Betty Crocker scalloped potato's and dump it on the top of the chops. Six hours later you have dinner. It doesn't look so good, but it taste's yummy! .

YAYYYYY - I LOVE crockpot recipes!! Easiest crockpot recipe ever: 4-6 boneless skinless chicken breasts (I cook them from frozen) 2 cans cream of chicken soup (low fat/low sodium) 1 can cheddar cheese soup 1 tsp garlic powder In bowl combine all soups and garlic powder. Place frozen chicken breasts in crockpot. Pour soup mixture on chicken breast. Cook on low 6 hours. This is a yummy recipe to put over rice or pasta noodles - I prefer the rice dish. Enjoy! Kymbrr

Here is a recipe I have been making in my slow cooker for over 20 years.....made some today in fact to take to an office party. My coworkers call this ..... SUICIDE DOGS 2 packages of hot dogs, 10 in each ( I use Oscar Meyers but any cheap hot dog will do as long as it ISNT 100% turkey or chicken) one pound package of bacon one pound of brown sugar, light or dark, your choice toothpicks Cut the hotdogs in half so you end up with 20 pieces per package, 40 total. Cut the bacon slices in half. Wrap half a slice of bacon around half a hotdog and secure with a toothpick. When finished, layer half the wrapped meat in your slow cooker and pour in 1/2 the brown sugar. Top with the rest of the meat and top that with the rest of the brown sugar. Set your cooker on high and let the sugar melt stirring to prevent scorching. This should take about 20-30 minutes. Now set the cooker on medium, put the lid on and let it cook for about three hours. Check it every half hour or so and give it a good stir each time. I know this dish is 100% fat and sugar which is why I only make it for pot lucks and holidays....or by request. It isnt very expensive or time consuming once you get the wrapping done. Sometimes, I add another package of hotdogs and buy extra bacon so that I have 60 pieces total....depends on who I am feeding. You can also use cocktail sausages such as Little Smokies. Trust me, this is yummy stuff!!!!

Oh, I love my slow cookers (yep, I own two of 'em, a 5.5 qt and a 3.5 qt.) One of my favourite recipes for it is so easy, it's pathetic. Here goes, ready? Take a large package of stew meat (or a roast, if you prefer!) Dump a package or two of onion soup powder on top. Cook on low overnight (yep, start it a supper time tonight to eat it tomorrow!), then mash it up with a potato masher until it's all thready. Serve with BBQ sauce, horseradish, ketchup. . . on split kaiser buns. Mmmmm.... Later, Meg.

Here is a recipe for the best pulled pork EVER.... 3-6 lb smoked shoulder / Boston Butt 4-6 large onions 2 jugs of your favorite BBQ sauce (I love Stubbs) 2 12oz bottles of good beer (Sam Adams larger works great) Slice the onions in half and place them in the bottom of the crock pot. Put the pork on top of the onions. Top off with 1 tub of BBQ sauce and 1 beer. Drink the other beer, because now you have worked up a great thirst. Cook on low for 8 - 10 hours. Remove the meat. The meat should very easily pull apart. It is best to let it cool for a bit and use your hands. If you must, you can use a fork. After it is all shredded, add it back into the pot and mix well. The onions should fall apart also and create quite an aroma. Serve with your favorite roll, chips and a pickle.

Here's an easy crock pot beef stew. Brown up 1-2 lbs prime stewing beef (coat the meat with flour with some salt, pepper, paprika and onion powder mixed in) In the crockpot mix a can of cream of mushroom soup, a can of cream of celery soup, 2 cups of water, a tblspoon each of soy sauce, worcestershire sauce and browning. Put the crockpot on low and cook the mix with meat 8-10 hours (or 4-5 hours on high). Add some sliced up carrots with 4 hours to go (low heat) Add sliced or quartered mushrooms (if you like them) with 2 hours to go (low heat)). Add green beans, or other fresh vegetables with 2 hours to go (low heat), or frozen veggies (best to let them thaw first) with 1 hour to go Pre-boil potatoes - a couple of pounds, depending on how many servings you want to make - until they are just starting to soften. Remove from the pot, drain thoroughly and add to the crockpot with 40 minutes to go, and turn the heat up to high. Cook it without the veggies and potatoes, and you have a pot of delicious meat pieces and a rich gravy to pour over mashies!

TINA! How can you survive without a crock pot! Crock pots are the greatest things ever in the whole history of the world! Seriously-throw in some meat and some veggies and something wet (water, wine, barbeque sauce, soy sauce, all of the above, whatever) in the morning, turn it on and fugettaboutit for the rest of the day. When it's suppertime-BOOM! supper's ready! Aaaaaaaaaaaawesome, dude!
