I loved the mix of music and the light show enhanced the experience. And when I wasn't singing along, I couldn't help laughing at the witty repartee (see above) especially between Sean and Alan.

I have to say that everybody was so friendly and so nice. We all seem to be a part of a wonderful community. I also want to thank the road crew with GBS without whom I'd never have recovered my cell phone from underneath the stage (don't ask;long blond story). I'm only sorry that it kept me from the photo op with the band afterwards. Best to you lads and don't be strangers! We will do all we can to invite you back with open arms as soon as you can.

By the way, hats off to the "bringer of little bottles". Cheers!

Re: Charlotte

<creator>altabubbles</creator><commentcount>0</commentcount>

Ahhh, a night we'll never forget....

My husband's birthday is October 31st (great day as I never forget his birthday, and there's usually a really good Halloween party somewhere). Anyways, this year, I surprised the young fella with a couple of tickets to his favorite band! I introduced this 'yank' into the word of GBS during our first year of dating and he's been hooked ever since. This was our FIRST show and I'm telling you now, we'll definitely be repeating it! Everyone around us had smiles on their faces, ants in their pants, and knew how to dance (good one, eh?). Best show I've EVER seen! As a side note: I too am looking forward to the Nudist Balloonist song (cute).

Thanks so much for the great gift! I'm bringing him home to the Rock next year for his first time. I can't wait to introduce him to ... well, everything Newfie!

Love you guys,

Tam & Eric

Re: Charlotte

<creator>pigboy</creator><commentcount>0</commentcount>

I have to agree. That was a fantastic show. I ended up taking my 11 year old daughter because my friend was sick and she really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the new 'Nudist Balloonist' song as well, lol. They really got the audience involved and the energy in the room was great. One of the best concerts I've seen from anybody. I hope they come back to Charlotte again real soon.
Charlotte

<creator>isotoper</creator><commentcount>0</commentcount>

The b'ys ROCKED THE HOUSE! Music sets were a smart mix of old and new songs peppered with a fantastic light show! An impromptu song of Freedom Park and balloons was histerical as was Alan counting in a song and Kris wasn't ready. At that point Sean rolled on the floor, literally.

Many kids were in the front rows so Alan and Chris gave guitar picks and sticks, respectively, to them. Everyone stood and interacted with every song. The only thing that would have made this night perfect was if the band never ended.

Thanks for rocking Charlotte!
