In case you missed Bob last time he was on CBC Radio 2, or you just want to hear him again, the episode he recorded, "Weird In Newfoundland" will be rebroadcasted this weekend. The show features Bob talking about the "weird and wonderful world of Newfoundland folk songs."

It airs March 1 at 12pm local time (12:30pm in Newfoundland) on CBC Radio 2. You can also tune in online.

Halifax Secret Show - Venue Announced

The boys will be intimately rockin' the Lower Deck in Halifax on Friday night for a secret show! The Lower Deck is located at 1869 Upper Water Street. The doors are at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.

If you haven't won passes, pop by the venue in the evening and test your fortune. Great Big Sea and GBS.com cannot guarantee admission to anyone who hasn't already won tickets, but best of luck if you do go down.

Within the past day or two you might have received a PM from a Russian woman requesting your assistance with a banking situation and asking for money. Please ignore this PM. This is a fraud attempt.

We’re sorry to anyone who encountered this PM. We have since banned the person, so they should not be contacting you again. We at GreatBigSea.com take these types of fraud attempts on the members very seriously and will continue to promptly remove these kind of people from the community.

In general, you should never give money to anyone you do not know. Oprah even did a recent program on online fraud that is definitely worth checking out.

Sean’s A-Twitter!

It can be easier to figure out what Sean is doing when Great Big Sea is touring, but haven’t you wondered what else he does with his time? Well, now’s your chance to “follow” Sean and find out!

Sean has recently joined Twitter as GreatBigSean, and with almost 40 tweets to date, he’s been actively posting what he’s been up to or things he wants to share with his “followers”. With a new album and new tour dates on their way, think of all the updates that are in store!

So, what’s Twitter? It’s a free service that allows members to post short updates that aim to answer the question: What are you doing? You can search for friends, family and people of interest, view their profile and choose to “follow” them; next time you login to Twitter, you’ll see their updates on your homepage. It gets even more addictive! You can update your Twitter via SMS text messaging, instant messaging and a number of software programs that you can download. This provides many ways for Sean to update his Twitter while on the road!

There's a pretty neat video on the top right corner of the Twitter homepage that might answer a few of your questions. Otherwise, if you have any questions, post in this thread, and I’ll try my best to answer them. I’ll update this post with the answers, too.
