Charles, I am late coming to this post, but am sending you and your mom all good thoughts and prayers for a full and speedy recovery.

You are an awesome son, your mom is so lucky to have you to advocate on her behalf.  These days you really have to push to get the answers and treatment you need.  Many doctors will dismiss "female" problems as something that will go away when you hit menopause, but I insisted on referrals to specialists and I am glad I did.  One of my issues is now resolved, and another one has been uncovered but I can cope with it fairly easily.
