Kimya Dawson at the Philly Folk Festival. DId not enjoy the set at all. Most of the songs sounded exactly the same and almost none made sense.

Oh Anne, I’m laughing so hard.  I completely agree with your review – she was awful!  In between almost every song she kept saying "*Drawn out deep sigh* I can't believe I'm here!" and we kept saying “neither can we!”  I could not for the life of me figure out how she ended up as a featured performer.  In addition, she started throwing out the F-word during her performance.  The festival is family oriented, we brought our 2 and 5 year old kids and were not amused!

But my biggest concert disappointment was the Indigo Girls at their height of popularity in the 1990s.  First, the teens directly in front of us decided to stand ON their chairs and scream the entire time.  The Indigo Girls aren’t exactly a stand and scream your lungs out kind of group, and I really didn’t enjoy looking at and having my face 4 inches from these kid's rear ends the entire concert.  Then when the Indigo Girls were in the middle of a song, someone jumped onstage and started to sing along into the mike.  Then a couple more people did the same, and it turned into a crowd.  For some reason security did NOTHING.  The Indigo Girls finished the rest of the song, walked off the stage, and never came back.  We all kind of sat there not knowing what to do and were finally told, “OK, you can go home now.  Bye now!  No refunds!  Shooo!”  But it was the Indigo Girls so we all went quietly home and no one rioted in the streets or smashed any buses.
