    Re: Chicago March shows?

If you are looking for a lil something else to do...I'm not a big fan of Navy Pier, but it's a big tourist attraction so I wouldn't discourage it...Anyway, on the pier you can catch a water taxi that will take you across the water to where the aquarium and planetarium are, for only $7. I'm a huge fan of aquariums and planetariums and we are blessed with two of the best! besides, if you want a picture of the chicago skyline, there's NO BETTER spot than along the rocks between the aquarium and planetarium...they are on a small peninsula in the southloop area. Since we have free parking with in and out service, I'm hoping to pack out of town friends into the car to schlep over there for some photos. If you don't want to water taxi, there are buses that go there as well. If you like museums, the most fun is the Science and Industry. They have the only functioning German WWII submarine in the US, The Harry Potter Exhibit, A Zephyr train,Green Revolution, a wicked cool coal mine, two I-Maxes (mystery of the great lakes and something about swimming with sharks) there's a bus that goes from Michigan ave down to the Science and Industry as well. and you must have pizza! I'd recommend Gino's East or Lou Malnatti's.
