    Update the Tour Schedule?

It would be much appreciated for fans to have an updated Tour Schedule.  Tickets for Fort McMurray and Cape Cod have already gone on sale!

    Cheers!

    Re: Update the Tour Schedule?

Im just wondering why the tour schedule hasn't really been updated much in the last 6 months or so. As with any other band , the official web site would be the place I would look first , but lately it seems to be the last place posted.

    Lyndz,

That seems to be the norm for GBS. We are the last to know many times.

I don't think you did, that posted is dated last April.  Smile

The tour schedule on this site is linked to Sonic Entertainment Group, the band's management, if the dates are up there, they will be here. In other words, the admins to this site have no power over when tour dates are listed.

    Re: Update the Tour Schedule?

Are you sure it's this site that's linked to Sonic and not the other way around? All I found on their site was a link that said to click for GBS tour schedule and it took me right back here. It could just be they don't bother to post tour schedules and just refer you to band sites.

I couldn't even find mention of GBS on their main page.

Here's a direct link to the tour schedule on their site http://www.sonicentertainmentgroup.com/sr_gbs_tour.htm

To find GBS on their site click on the Artist Management link on the top left, second from the top, it takes you to the current roster, then click on the picture of GBS.

    Re: Update the Tour Schedule?

Thanks, when I tried this morning, my "artist management" button wasn't working so I used "concert promotion" and all it did was bring me to the tour schedule here. I wonder why it does that if there's already a tour schedule on the Sonic site?

    Re: Update the Tour Schedule?

I'm not explaining this very well. If you're using firefox go to the tour schedule on this site, right click over the schedule and select 'This Frame' then 'Show Only This Frame', you'll see the url is http://www.sonicentertainmentgroup.com/gbstourdates.htm, the schedule comes directly from the Sonic Entertainment Group site, not this one, the admins here have no power over the schedule.

    Re: Update the Tour Schedule?

You made yourself perfectly clear, to me anyway, perhaps it was me that was unclear. The "Artist Management" link didn't work for me the first time you said that the info comes from Sonic so I looked in "concert promotion". Having used your link I found what you were talking about. What I was wondering was why does SONIC have a section under "concert promotion" that is nothing but a link to the tour dates on THIS site, if they already have their own set of tour dates up under "artist management". Having found only a link for here the first time I tried looking made me think that it was Sonic that got their info from here. Obviously I was mistaken.

    Re: Update the Tour Schedule?

This obviously continues to be a source of frustration...how come there's a pre-sale for the Atlantic City show going on, but the show's not listed on the Tour Page?!?  The Akron show's been on Pollstar for nearly 3 weeks...don't you think someone should break the news to the fan base officially?

On Sonic Entertainment's web site there is an option to email if you have questions about Great Big Sea's tour schedule.  I sent an email today asking that this information be kept current, and I encourage anyone else who's frustrated to do the same.

    Cheers!
