Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!
Wearing my homemade Great Big Sea Rocks London shirt today. Actually got a comment asking if I liked GBS. (my coworkers who heard the question started snickering) This is actually the only women's Tshirt I have, and only because I wanted pink. I prefer men's Ts, where the sleeve comes down to my elbow, and I can wear it as a nightshirt if I want. Then again, I've always preferred over-sized clothing. Form fitting clothing, or turtle necks, make me claustrophobic.

Columbine:We need GREAT BIG FAN shirts! They wouldn't have to look the same - the more original art & design the better, different necklines, some sleeveless or tanks, different colors even. And people could do them any way they want - fabric paint, applique, tie dye, indelible marker, iron on... Love, Columbine (perhaps a nice green...)
I'd be afraid to make something like that for fear of copyright infringment.

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!
I actually got some really good ideas for GBS shirt designs, but I only noticed the contest thing about a week before it was over, so I didn't have time to put them on paper. I'll try and get around to it, maybe I can put something together. Hell maybe I can open a CafePress store with them, on shirts that actually fit all shapes and sizes of people. Wait, I don't know, is that illegal? I know it's not illegal to print your own artwork on a shirt (someone else's artwork IS illegal), but using a band's name may be copyright infringement. I'll look into it. Really the current designs are okay I guess, but the lack of sizes are is not. :( Merch people- big girls want to wear band shirts too!

Probably can't use the band's name if you sell the shirts, Amanda. But you can certainly make and wear whatever you want for yourself and/or gift Ts to your friends.

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!
Anyone know the return policy? I'm really not happy with the size or cut of this shirt. Basically I've paid $38 for it to sit in a drawer.

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!
I too am in need of a plus size t that fits!!!!! PLEASE, it's so hard to find anything from not just GBS but any band or group that fits me. In the past I have bought patches to support the froup or band if possible and still be able to sew it on something that fit me. I've just lost over 60 lbs so here's hoping the new tour may have something to fit. PLUS SIZES PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! AND THANKYOU

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!
I have sent an email to the GBS store. I am thoroughly disgusted by their 'all sales final' policy. So now I have a $38 shirt I'll probably never wear. Nice. I'm sure many here feel the same. Atleast I can get mine on, unlike Amanda. It's uncomfortable tho, and the neckline makes me claustrophobic. Isn't the most flattering shirt either. The sizing chart said I should order an XL and I ordered an XXL. What does that say? I'd imagine it says that there's alot of dis-satisfied people if they ordered their size according to that chart. Hey, does anyone remember that it seemed like the 'pre sale' of these shirts made it seem like after the ordering deadline (March 7?) that these shirts wouldn't be available in the store? That's why Tee and I ordered when we did. We were going to wait till next month when our budgets permitted, but it seemed like if we didn't order, we'd have to wait for a show to get them, and with no Canadian dates announced, we didn't want to wait. I feel like an idiot. Sorry to rant. I'm just really cheesed off. That was a lot of money for both me and my sister, especially if we never wear them. Tee ordered a large, and she hasn't tried it yet, but I don't think she's going to be able to squeeze her assets in. The whole thing just makes me mad.

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!
Whoa, hold on a minute! I hadn't even gotten to returning mine yet, I was planning on it...it's ALL SALES FINAL?!?! Are they freaking joking?! So now I'm stuck with a $30 t-shirt I CAN'T EVEN GET ON MY BODY because MERCH can't notate proper sizing (not to mention use a manufacturer that actually makes shirts in decent sizes)?! WTF?! RAWR!

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!
Just tried to go into the Store to look into this return policy and figure out who I need to complain to about it and the sizing to get something done. Interesting, the store seems to be having technical difficulties, possibly due to too many people trying to access it. Huh. Reckon there's alot of fans with some merch-related anger right now?

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!
I just checked out the return policy, and it says that items are non-returnable, unless they are remarkably different than advertised. I would argue that if they provide a size chart with measurements, and the shirt doesn't fit those measurements, then that IS remarkably different. When you can't try something on, you better be crystal clear and 100% accurate about how something fits, or you need to be issuing refunds.

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!
I just emailed them this : Hi,
Several of us are very upset that your shirts made for the Band Great BIg Sea are sized so small. Seriously, most of the woman who purchased them are getting the largest size you offer and still can't fit in them - even tho this is several sizes bigger than they would normally fit into. What a Gyp! We can't wear them, we can't return them. So we're stuck with a product that cost us $30 to let it sit in a drawer. Either your shirts should more realistically size or you need to start offering refunds. But be aware that this a hot topic amoungst the GBS fans as we have all been looking forward to new shirts. Too bad a goodly portion of the fanbase can't wear your product. Thanks for nothing, Andi XXXXXXXXXX" I'll let you know what they say. But I'd like to hear what GBS HQ is doing about it too.

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!
We are taking your concerns about merch sizing to heart and it will be brought to management for consideration on future GBS shirts. As for creating your own merch, it is a copyright infringement to use the name or a likeness of the band. If you have questions regarding an order, please e-mail store@greatbigsea.com. I just checked, and the store seems to be working OK for me. Here is a direct link to the Help section: http://greatbigsea.com/store/help/policy.aspx Any questions, please let me know.

IF YOU BUY A PATCH FROM A MERCH TABLE THAT THE GROUP OR BAND IS IN CHARGE OF ARE YOU TELLING ME IT'S COPYRIGHTED TO SEW IT ON A T-SHIRT OR JACKET????
