New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!

OK, so they apparently got new women's GBS shirts in extended sizes, right? WRONG.

They're printed on American Apparel tees, which run SEVERAL sizes smaller than noted.

I have actual breasts. And I wear a size 18. I bought a women's size 2XL, the largest one available, and recommended for my size. It does not even come CLOSE to fitting! I can barely get my head and arms through the holes, it squeezes my boobs to the point of suffocation practically, is tighter than skin tight the rest of the way down, and barely makes it to my belly button. I look like 15 pounds of pudding in a 5 pound bag it it. And the thing cost $30 to boot.

GRRRRR!!!!! Angry All you voluptuous, curvy women out there who wanted to buy new GBS tees in real sizes? Don't waste your money. :(

GBS Merch Team: Thank for all the hard work you do, but can we PLEEEEEEASE get some women's larger size tees printed up on ACTUAL larger size garments! Anything but American Apparel! They run EXTREMELY small. I would say my "roughly size 18" shirt is in actuality a size 12-14 at MOST. We're right back where we started! :(

Oh, I know where you're coming from Amanda! I got my mermaid shirt today, and I ordered XXL because generally the shirts fit small and they shrink. It DOES look like a regular large shirt. And I expected with what they're calling a 'baby tee' that it would have a scoop neck. Nope crew neck. Ack, I'll feel like I'm being strangled! Tee and I will be altering these neck lines. Too bad we've spent $38 only to have to put work into them!
Some people shine like a star in the first moment. Others keep their light hidden until they are ready to show us.

If it was known before hand that American Apparel fits small my only question is why go with that company in the first place?  I'm sure that there are other companies out there that make their t-shirts in the correct size.

Sometimes going with a cheaper manufacturer doesn't really pay off.  Especially if people don't buy the stuff produced.  I'm willing to pay the extra price for something that is well made and I know will fit me.  Because I'm a woman with a generous figure I usually end up going with the men's t-shirts anyways, but I do like the way baby-t's (in my size!) generally fit.  I can tell you that unless the for the newest shirts actually are an XXL I won't be buying one.  Instead I'll just make up my own custom t-shirt.

Actually when I bought a Music Rising t-shirt made by American Apparel, I found they ran really HUGE...a medium came to my knees and the shoulders are half-way down my arm so it is now sitting in a drawer til I figure out what to do with it.  Either way, they don't seem to size their tees right, whether they be too big or too small...how hard can it be?

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!

    LOL Col! Angel

Bonnie...the thing that baffles me, is that American Apparel is NOT a cheap manufacturer at all! They're a great company because they use sweatshop-free labor, all their garments are manufactured by properly paid workers in downtown L.A. So YAY politically correct, green manufacturing...but consequently their garments are quite expensive. There are actual American Apparel stores in NYC, Toronto, LA, etc...that same, plain cotton baby tee, with nothing printed on it, retails for about $25 US. I bought a plain purple cotton A-line knee-length skirt at American Apparel in Toronto last time I was there...it cost me about $45 CDN! They are by no means cheap.

I'm ALL FOR sweatshop free labor...but if it doesn't fit half the population, how much good is it really? :( There's got to be another P.C./green wholesale shirt manufacturer that makes shirts in NORMAL and REAL EXTENDED sizes!

I wear my guys shirts and hoodies with pride, but I'd love to wear a more feminine style. Surely there are enough buxom GBS female fans to justify it.

Re: New "Plus Size" shirts? NOT SO MUCH!

Another big girl here....Got lucky when I saw the guys on tour last year in Atlanta they had larger sizes and I was able to get one that fit. and I love it!!!

Though good fitting sirts are hard to find. All depends on who makes them. Some run smaller than others

Got a shirt that makes 'em look bigger?  embarrased  I need a shirt that helps my bounce look bouncier.  What, what you don't got one, I guess I'll have to settle with the breast augmentation.
