Sigh. I'm dreaming of a new GBS t-shirt One that would fit a woman of "substance" Not just a big, guy's T-shirt Something with a bit o' flirt but large enough to span the rack I'm dreaming of a scoop neck GBS t-shirt So I don't like like I'm wearing my husbands A little bit of sleeve at least so I could wear a bra with it cause you know Vertical movement demands support.

I bought a tank at the show in Albany, but of course now it's not tank weather anymore, so I vote for more girly style t's, too! Cap sleeve is flattering on everyone, round or scoop neck is always good. Any color but white is good! -Nancy

Here is a draft of the e-mail I have composed to send to merchmonkey-submitted for critique, since I dont' want to speak for all of us, if I miss the mark. I'm going for tongue in cheeky-funny but making a point, let me know what you think before I hit send! Hello, Merch Monkey! In response to a thread that is building momentum in the Online Kitchen Party of the GBS website, I thought I'd drop you a line. It has been my observation that a significant chunk of Great Big Sea fans are women. And a significant chunk of them are, well, chunky. ( I can get away with that, because I'm one of them). As much as a performer might hope or dream that the majority of his female fans are sweet nubile young things, the reality is that many of us are over 35, and/or 16+. When those of us who fit that demographic are standing at a GBS merch. table, dollars in hand, we are faced with a choice. Trying to wedge the ampleness into the teeny tiny little things offered as women's T-shirts (creating the dreaded uniboob) or wearing a guys T-shirt. We are rising up as one and saying "No more!" to wearing guys T-shirts!! What we need, nay what we demand, is a plus sized women's t-shirt, with a scoop or V-neck, with at least a little bit of sleeve, if not a long sleeve. (and darker colours would be nice too!) We love GBS. We love merchmonkey. We want to spread the GBS love to the world, via a message or logo on our ample chests. For that, we need the right T-shirt. I leave it in your capable merchandising hands. Respectfully, Sharon R***.

This thread certainly HAS gained momentum since last night. I am thinking the same as almost everyone else. It would be nice if the shirts were sized as in the real world, where a medium is a medium, not an extra large! I have often wondered as I stand there buying my 'extra large' t shirt, how anyone bigger than myself can wear anything there, besides men's shirts, which are usually not flattering. As well, I am a fan of the v-neck and was pleased with the red hard the easy shirts, tho still sized small. Cap sleeves are okay too, but sometimes they can be a bit tight. Oh as well, while we're making our wish lists, can we have a bit of length as well? Some of us with c-section tummies and a few extra pounds, don't like our shirts riding up to our rib cages because we raise our arms to clap! Or riding up our backs when we sit down somewhere!
Some people shine like a star in the first moment. Others keep their light hidden until they are ready to show us.
