I saw you on the OKP today, in an old post.  I'm probably moving from Boston to Brisbane for a  5 year stretch in the fall (spring to you) and wondering if the band have ever toured Oz, to your knowledge?  I can't imagine 5 years of no live GBS.  And did you get your Road Rage CD replaced?

To answer your question - I don't believe the lads have ever been out here.. I'd love nothing better than to see them make the trip.. So - it sounds like your 5 years is going to be GBS-less - unless we can make enough noise to get them out here..

One of the early responses to my initial post mentioned that Alan had been out here with 'TOFOG' - which I'm assuming in Russell Crowe's band - "Thirty Odd Foot of Grunts".. (Happy to be corrected)..

Haven't managed to get my Road Rage CD replaced yet - but I AM holding out on the website for them to get some T-Shirts in my size... (C'mon Merch guys!)..

Are you heading over here for school or a work stretch..?? Sorry to disappoint, but you won't see any snow where you're coming to..!!

Hi Scott and all other Aussie GBS fans,

 The short story is we ARE moving to Brissy in about one month's time!  My husband Phil and I will both be at UQ; he to open and direct a new Centre (note how I got the spelling right already!) for Educational Innovation and Technology, and I to study for a PhD.  And I will NOT miss the snow ONE LITTLE BIT.  In fact, I'm quite looking forward to skipping winter entirely for a year!

 We just returned home from a pilgrimage to NFLD, where we attended the show at Gander on Saturday.  The boys headlined an all-day outdoor festival at which we also saw the Navigators and Ron Hynes, previously mentioned on this thread.  The guys played for 2 hours nonstop and the energy was great despite the nasty weather (they tell me you can see the sun in NFLD but I don't believe it, after 6 days of overcast and drizzle).

 I'm hoping to find some traditional Irish music somewhere in Brissy once we get there and get settled in; any suggestions?   And in the back of my mind is the idea of contacting GBS's manager to see whether an Australian tour could get some consideration.  I can't imagine going 5 years without seeing them live!
