You know that part on the helmet that lifts away to reveal the face? We can fashion something similar for the breastplate. Or should I say, the bouncyplate.

Or just make the armor like a corset. Who in their right minds would stab a woman in the boucies anyway?

Re: Alan's From The Road!
I was just thinking about picking up some wellies. They have some cute ones at Walmart. But wait, no, I'm not such a fangirly girl that I would run out and buy rubber boots on Alan's say so. I need them cause fall is nipping at my heels and I live in Nova Scotia. It rains alot here. A girl needs some wellies. really. (And if Alan Doyle thinks they're sexy, well, then, so much the better! But that's not why I'm buying them. really.)

Edited to remove customary smut because it occurred to me that I shouldn't be dirty in EVERY bloody thread I venture into, especially one about Alan's excellent blog entries.
Carry on.

Re: Alan's From The Road!
When Gaelic Storm said to Bring Your Wellies*, I was like "whatever," but a mention from Alan and I'm ready to go shopping. He makes them sounds much more appealing.
(*Is the title of their last album. Decent listening if you're separated from your GBS CDs, which are- needless to say- far superior)

Re: Alan's From The Road!
I need new boots...I was thinking leather... but hmm wellies could do, I saw some nice colourful ones while back to school shopping with Laura. Hmmm... Nah Leather will be much better in the cold. can't you just picture heading for work in yer London fog coat the new heather plaid skirt and sweater and wellies. I know I'm crazy, but to advertise it might not be advantageous to the career. Maybe some play wellies, nice pink ones! Pink and brown go good together pink boots brown mud I'll be stylin.

Re: Alan's From The Road!
I think you'd cheer quite a few people up in your plaid skirt and wellies. Here's a stupid question from someone who comes from somewhere where they don't use such terminology. Are wellies pretty well any kind of rubber boots, or are they specific kinds of boots?

Re: Alan's From The Road!
"Wellies" is short for WELLINGTON Boots. It is a brand name for a make of basic black rubber, knee-high boots. But, it is like "Kleenex" used for "tissue" or "Band-aid" for adhesive bandage. It is kind of a generic word for tall rubber boots.

Re: Alan's From The Road!
Finally we get to hear from Alan again1 Hey the boys must come back to Ottawa sometime! I am so busy working for the Senators (Alan I know your a Habs fan), that I missed their show at the NCC. Oh well at least I have my cds and iPod full of their music til they return back to the nation's capital. Good to see the boys had fun in Europe.

Re: Alan's From The Road!
"Over the course of the next few hours, we four discussed several ways to cure world hunger, dominate the music business for decades to come, and get the attractive waitress to leave her home, family, and life in general to move in with Murray. Normal dandy chat at the pub before giving it up for the night. "
Oh, my goodness, I can just picture the scene! Alan is such a great writer. He tells a good tale; makes you feel like you're there.
