Something just a little different for the teachers and musicians in the crowd. http://letsgobpo.wordpress.com/ It's a blog by some of the members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. They have a Q and A section that is a lot of fun to read. Check it out, pass it along. :)

Hi all. Hope everyone is doing well!
There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

Re: The George Street Café
Hey everyone... I have a history of posting things that no one in interested in, but I thought I'd show off the pictures I took at MCW this Friday during the March Mayhem show. General MCW Pictures And I'm so in love with Chronus... Well, I'm in love with parts of him... I've never actually talked to him, since we are in totally different leagues (no pun intended). Re: The George Street Café
Columbine: How many? Bob Hallett? Oh, heavenly day! There's no one can tell you just what he can play. We know he plays whistle and mando and zouk Of course he plays fiddle (and pipes, but don't look) A herd of accordions, D, G, and Q And I bet he can play the piano kind too, And just plain piano, and e'en glass harmonica Theremin, steel cello, drums, and euphonica. I'm sure that at nose flute he's quite unexceeded, And can even play qarkabeb when such is needed. The few he's not played yet, he's just not consented - The ones that he can't play have not been invented!
Columbine, that was brilliant! The rhythm and rhyme and the subject fit together just loverly. Bravo!

Re: The George Street Café
Hmmm, followed Columbines link, and in one of the side bar links, found a story about Paul McCartney's "people" sniffing around Halifax this week, possibly looking to play the Commons for Canada Day. Paul McCartney. Playing in Atlantic Canada--yanno, that region where people hunt seals? On CANADA DAY? I got a neat idea. What if a CANADIAN band, who DIDN'T publicly attack Atlantic canadians, plays on the Halifax Commons for Canada Day? Call me a radical thinker.....

Re: The George Street Café
I'll tell ya this much Shar - should Sir Paul play the Commons and should I be able to get a ticket, you'd get to see me when I'm in town because I'm a McCartney fan. PETA supporter, seal hunt protester, every is entitled to their beliefs. I do believe that Paul McCartney is amazing songwriter.

Re: The George Street Café
Proof that I desperately need sleep- I've been on an opera/classical music kick lately, and after listening to the Queen of the Night's Vengeance Aria from The Magic Flute, I suddenly had this mental image of the b'ys running into her mid-coloratura and hauling her off for a pint to cool her off.
These are the thoughts that kept me out of the good schools...
