Since they don't have Tucson on their Southwest US list we are making the trip!

     Any tips?

Get there early and Have fun! Lucky you that you get the boys fresh after their month long break! They'll be stale and crusty by the time they get up north. LOL!

    Peace, Love, and GBS,

    Loula

Haha, gee, thanks.  I'll be at the last show in Calgary! :)

I'll be in San Diego January 1st for a cruise to Mexico... would've been cool if GBS was there about that time!  Oh well!!

Thanks - getting there early is definitely on our list!  Hmm, a couple of hours?  Now we just have to figure out where to stay, where to park and whether we eat before we go or can get in early and eat at the venue.  Looks like a nice place when I look it up on line.

Seen them 3 times in Tucson and it was always good - no matter how long they'd been on tour.  Of course, in Tucson we were just grateful they'd stopped here at all!

This will be my 10 year old grandson's 2nd concert.  We took him to the last one here and he was lucky enough to be able to sit on the edge of the stage for a while, get one of Alan's guitar picks from the stage after the show AND meet Alan and get an autograph.  (I thought it was SO sweet that he got off the bus to come out and say hello.)  Can't really beat that for a first concert experience.

I'm going too!! I had not seen them since I went on vaction to Toronto Molson in 2006.

Mexicali, Mexico, where I live, is only a two hour drive from San Diego, so this is the closest to me, and if everything goes well I will do the LA too.

     Saludos!!

    Re: GBS in San Diego

I’ve seen GBS in Clayton, LA HOB, Albany, and Ottawa within the past two years.  And will be at the Anthology and Galaxy shows.

Funny story:  I had a GBS poster from the first show I saw them at from the Belly Up (Solana Beach) at the Clayton show.  After the Clayton show, we stopped in a bar and Alan was there at a table in conversation with several people.  We sat at the bar, not wanted to disturb them, and hoped for an opportunity to get the poster signed.  20 minutes later, more of our group shows up, and Chantal says, “I’ll get your poster signed!”  Chantal grabbed the poster (‘here, take the sharpie pen too’) and off she went to Alan’s table.

My buddy at the bar says, ‘Yup, there goes to only one of us with any balls to get the poster signed’.  I countered: ‘Hey, I am the smart guy – I let the attractive woman go over to get Alan’s attention’.

Alan of course was a gentleman to sign my poster, Chantal’s hat, and posed for my avatar picture.  Thanks to Chantal and Alan for the signed poster and a great story.

Is anyone familiar with this venue?  How early should we arrive and is there parking available?

Hey, I remember seeing you in Clayton!  Loved that bar -- no round was ever the same price:)

Yes, Clayton was funny like that.  I asked for two Tanqueray and tonics, the bartender said that will be $8, and I followed with I needed two Tanqueray and tonics.  The bartender again said $8.

We were not in the big city anymore.
