    Anyone else going to the Edmonds WA (Seattle area) Show?

    Just got tickets to my first GBS concert!! (exactly two months before show date.) I've been a fan since Something Beautiful came out, so '04 then.  Seats are seventh row center, ever so slightly stage Alan. I know a few good pubs in Seattle if anyone wants to join me on a crawl before the show... any takers?

    lol.  I totally love the left coast, which is why I live here too!  Alas, however, I am going to the Bremerton show 'cause the b'ys are showing some love to the Kitsap Penninsula which means no ferry trip for me.

    Went ahead and got tix the regular way - didn't want to wait for better ones that MIGHT become available and then have the show sell out and then I'd have NO tix...

    Just excited to be going...will be fun seeing as many of you as possible!

    Loulabelle, you mentioned drinks before in another thread...where?  I'm partial to Kell's down on the water, lots of fond (albeit fuzzy) memories from there...I don't know the Seattle area well at all though, so let me know what you've got in mind??

    I lived in Ballard over the summer so I'm partial to that area of Seattle, or Belltown has some good spots too. What kind of vibe are we going for? I have people in Seattle to do this kind of research for me, so let me know.

    Try Mulleady's in Magnolia.....

    I will be at the show...along with my son and wife. My son's picture was used in the "Walk on the Moon" video. Hopefully he can meet the band after the show....get the picture signed....maybe. See you all there...

    Just a heads up for you out of area folks...Kells isn't exactly close to Edmonds...probably a 20 minute drive, minimum.

    There are a few after concert watering holes in Edmonds, all no more than six blocks from the venue. None Irish in nature.

    Taki Tiki:  Main St.  between 5th and 6th Ave's. Just as the name implies

    Rory's: Main St. close to the ferry.

    Channel Marker: Sunset Ave, close to the ferry.

    Lots of good restaurants pre-concert:  Olive's Cafe and Chanterelle's are the best.

     

    PS:  This is a fixed seat theatre; what's the protocol for vertical movement?
