Exactly - and if this summary is true, then we can at long last hold a funeral for historical accuracy. I feel the same way about this possibility that I did about the RUINING of *Beowulf* in the films of 2005 and 2007 - "If that's the story that people want to tell, then they should write their own! Don't go messing with those stories that are among the oldest in the English language and culture, and that work perfectly well on their own merits, thankyouverymuch!"
I am, however, thrilled at the possiblity of Queen Eleanor making an appearance - assuming of course that they can find a replacement for Vanessa Redgrave (for whom my heart aches). Eleanor lived to be 81, but I'm not sure if she was actually still alive while her sons held the throne. Anyone know?
