    Dave and Grace-Harbour,

Thank you both for the wonderful, beautiful pictures.  I am so looking forward to my first trip to St. John's in March.  Of course I am told that most of the places will be covered in snow, but I still can not wait!! Smile

They say Newfoundland has 4 seasons - Spring, Summer, Fall and Misery.

Have fun in the pubs. I can promise the weather will be nasty.

Luckily, I understand there is not a shortage of pubs in St. John's.  I have also been told that I am supposed to ask about the "initiation" drink...I'm not sure if that is true or only the figment of my friends imagination Beer

Georgeous, absolutely gorgeous.  I've only been to Newfoundland once, but I'll never forget it.  Photos like these bring the memories back.  Sometimes I wish I lived out there............

    WOW!
These are so beautiful! If I had some extra money, I would love to see this all in person. But, you know, if i were to stand at signal hill by that sign...i think i would die haha.  Holy goodness thats a lot of arrows >.<

    Absolutely Glorious Shots, though!

My father took a motorcycle ride through and around NFLD a couple years ago.  Now I see what he was on about.  Some very nice shots here.

Hi  Janice,  Now that you've experienced it, tell everyone about your initiation drink.  You & all the crowd were troopers & we had lots of fun.  Susan

    Re: Newfoundland Photos

I surprised my hubby with a week in Newfoundland last year for a special birthday (he didn't realise where he was going until I told him at the airport). We had the most amazing time despite the rain and fog and are planning to go back for 3-4 weeks within the next three years.

BTW: it was also when we were introduced to GBS. Have been a total addict since!
