I was just on Hanson's MySpace page and I found a link to Rock Boat VIII, another SixthMan affiliated cruise set for (I believe - I haven't done too much digging yet) January 17th.

Anyone know anything about it?

Most definitely will be back on board!  As soon as I saw the confirmation posted, I got that pre-concert "squidgy" feeling - you know, the one that you get as you near the venue in anticipation of a GREAT time?!  Well, THAT one - and it is still more than 8 months away!

Booking token gives me access on the 23rd in the early afternoon...  squidginess sure to reappear!

Haven't been on any of the cruises before but definitely going this time! Can't wait! We're going with the cheapest room though. Airfare isn't cheap all the way from Germany. :(

Corina - glad you and Christina are comin over for the cruise - it'll be well worth your while! Plus... most of us fellow tweets will be on there.   I'd recommend getting a cheap room - maybe doing a quad if you can find a couple of roomies... cause you'll hardly be in your room... too much going on all the time.

It'll be a blast!

If you do get a quad and want a roomie, I might be interested.  I'm looking to get into a quad interior room on deck 11.  I have a presale token, but I didn't want to be a lead passenger.  PM me or email at mkzwoodATshawDOTca if you want to get in on the presale.  I'm sure we could find a fourth!

I think that if you are using the token issued in your name, you don't have a choice but to be the lead passenger.  I read somewhere in all of the emails that the tokens are not transferrable and if there is another individual using the token id, the reservation would be cancelled... and THAT would TOTALLY suck!

Just watchin' out for y'all.

Hey Sarah - Next January The Rock Boat is TRB Niner (IX), so I'm not sure if the eight (VIII) is a mistake or a reference to last year's cruise. The month and date are right though, January 17th. It's been an ongoing event for the past eight year's hosted, I think, by Sister Hazel with a slew of other bands and musicians. I know Carbon Leaf and Gaelic Storm are on Niner, but I haven't been following the artist announcements.

Ya, thanks Kim!  I didn't make that very clear, I didn't want to be lead passenger, but I would if I had some people who were solid and not about to back out on me.  It would be great to join a GBS fan cabin, then we could take turns holding the good spots on the deck for the shows!
