    Cartoon deal?

i would be very surprised if this honestly hasnt surfaced here already, but for laughs i must ask.
what in that name of charlie, is THIS?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvaAgrltyXo&mode=related&search= it REALLY sounds like the by'ys, you have to wait for about a minute for their parts to come in, and it seems to be imcomplete, as there are bits when charcters talk, but nothing is heard.

    seriously, what is this?!?!

    Re: Cartoon deal?

That's Hoze Hounds! It's a Canadian cartoon about a bunch of fire fighting dogs!  Great Big Sea appeared in one cartoon! It was hilarious!  Yes, it was really them.I loved it when Alan said something like, "it's raining girls, whoo hoo, my kind of weather!"Hoze Hounds isn't on anymore but it could have it's time again.  My kids and I laughed ourselves silly the first time we saw that episode with the guys as cartoon dogs!

It's for real!  You can download a full copy by clicking here, but be warned - you'll need to grab a free copy of Expander to open it if you don't have it already.  It's compressed so it won't take a month to download.

    GBS on Hoze Hounds

Ha ha ha! Leave it to a priate to kidnap them. ARG. Thank god at least one of their fainting Fionas doesn't pass out at the sound of their name. Angel I'm still waiting for the full version to download so that I watch & hear the chewed up bits from part 2 in the split version. It's pretty funny. At 29MB...how big is this thing?

So, Dr. Freud, a question. Is there a reason they are playing for their fans at a psychic and paranormal fundraiser? Do they think we are all glazing in our crystal balls watching their every move, that we are all psych...ic?

Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I am. Psychic. Cool

ETA - At 38MB...still waiting. At 52MB...file size unknown. At 76MB...ugh.

ETA - I should've downloaded Expander. See Columbine's message above.

Final ETA - Okay now that I've seen the whole thing start to finish, it's funny. The ending is classic GBS, where Pirate Pamela turns up her "stereo" and the live band gets a marquee signal that says "louder" and Alan (very agreeably) says, "Okay, guys. Turn it up a notch." And, Bob (very resignedly) says, "I hate this place." Hahaha! Angel

Did you catch the banter among the girlies at the end? "He looked right at me!" etc etc... Angel

    Re: GBS on Hoze Hounds

Yes, it is a little uncomfortably accurate.  The only thing missing is the word SQUEE.  Maybe the cartoon came out before we all started using squee.  I also had to wonder who among us would be the one to kidnap them??  hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.  it's sort of scary how many candidates there are!!

I think it's kind of a running joke with one of the regular characters.

I loved the lines the cartoon gave to Bob.  "My mother told me not to be a multi-instrumentalist."  Umbrella

    Re: GBS on Hoze Hounds

My home server is going to its eternal reward in a little under a month, so if anybody wants to download the binhexed MPG of the full Hoze Hounds cartoon episode, it's here.  It's huge and takes forever to download, and I'm not carrying it over to a server I have to pay for!

I have the cartoon too. It's always good for a laugh.

And yes it is frighteningly true how much we are like those cartoon girls. I can atest to that!

ETA: Thanks for sending it to me Bon!
