Any suggestions for after-concert festivities? 

 

Either head up to Chippewa bar scene and go to Darcy McGee's sure a lot of people will be heading there or to various other bars in the immediqate area after or drive to South Buffalo and try one of the many Irish bars down there. Me I'm hoping the wife will want to go to Darcys LOL!

 

As for sitting this is outdoors and I'm sure you could bring a blanket to sit on between shows. 

 

If you have any other questions about traveling to, staying in and or stuff to do let me know. Buffalo can be a great town if you know the right people

yes! it's more of a beer stands on the sides! so bring your beer hat so you can bring 4 beers up front with you lol then your set for the whole concert!

It's been a few years since I had to drive to that part of Buffalo .... best way to get there (from the 33 is just fine) and places to park?

My tix say special guest Mason Jennings. Anyone know if he'll be opening or not? (*crosses fingers* since I can't leave work before 4...)

directions, times and such would be great!  I plan on gettng my tickets at the gate.  Hope to arrive early enough to get a good spot.

Ok so I just mailed the concert promoters and aside from thier short answer I now know the exact address of the concert... drum roll please....One Naval Park Cove so if you plug this into google maps it will give you the directions to the venue (with pictures!) as requested I will provide the directions from the 33 if your taking the 33 into the city the 33 turns turns into oak street (over the bridge) then:

 

1.	Head south on Oak St toward Clinton St		0.3 mi
2.	Turn right at Swan St		0.2 mi
3.	Turn left at Pearl St		0.3 mi
4.	Continue on Naval Park Cove		0.2 mi

and there you are! oh by the way yes Mason Jennings is opening says doors at 5 pm so i would guess he would come on at 6 but that is just my guess...

 

by the way is anyone excited?????

I believe this "venue" is located in the parking lot of one of the buildings on the waterfront near Marine Drive.

Yeah it's weird I have contacted the promoters to try and get the address or exact location on a map and the told me to use one navel cove! as long as you get down in the area of the ships I'm sure you'll be fine! That brings me to another thought...it is normally colder down by the lake so if you get cold in a greenhouse wear a sweatshirt! forecast is for 70 and sunny but soon as the sun drops and the wind comes off the lake you'll be glad you listened to me!

If it's truly at the newly renovated Erie canal Harbor, there is not a lot of room there! This is going to be insane   This area used to look like this!

For those taking the 33 in - take either the Oak or Goodell exits ( they merger with each other take which ever one you can) Go straight past Main ( Past Trico building, Main in the next street past Trico- it's a weird "intersection" ,  and bear right at the fork of Main Street and Pearl stay on Pearl to Naval Park Cove)

I am sooooooooo stoked for this... My 11th time seeing them I believe. Anyone attempting to go to Pearl Street Grill ahead of time? I'll be there by 4. Look for me in my red GBS shirt with white letters. Just yell out "Kath", I'll answer or at the very least look at *you* funny :-)
