    New Album from Chris Trapper

Great Big Sea's favourite American songwriter has just released a new CD. Chris Trapper's Songs from the Middle of the World (solo/acoustic rarities vol.1) is now available via his very cool new website.

"The man is a songwriting machine!" says Doyle. "I always wanted Chris to make a solo acoustic record and now its here", offers Bob. "I think he's just dreamy!", adds McCann.

Chris' writing skills will also be highlighted on the forth coming GBS record Fortune's Favour.

The latest is different from any others he's put out. Very enjoyable, very low-key, very acoustic - just the man and his guitar. Ther are some gems in there for sure! Chris has a talent for the turn of a phrase. It's an album you have to LISTEN to in order to appreciate.

That's a very apt description Anne. It's a gem of an album... but different feel from his others. Thoroughly enjoy it... plus his other albums as well. I recommend going to see him if he's playing in your area. He's also put up a site on facebook now that he updates if anyone is interested.

Chris is one of my top friends on MySpace. I think I own almost every album he released, some from the Push Stars as well. I'm so curious about the new one. Sounds great what you say about it, normally I like the acoustic stuff most ... need to check it out. NOW!

    Cheers ... Christina
