Fortune's Favour Presale!
The wait is almost over! Fortune's Favour comes out June 24 and the GreatBigSea.com presale for the new album starts tomorrow, May 9, at 12pm EDT. Yes, you will still have to wait to receive your album, but to make the wait time more bearable, we've thrown in some GBS.com exclusives that you can enjoy right away!

With each copy of the CD that you order, you'll receive a download bundle of the new single, "Walk On The Moon", plus two GBS.com exclusives, "Belong (A Cappella)" and "Gallow's Pole"! The link to download your new tracks will be emailed to you shortly after you place your order.

The exclusive songs will not be available after the presale is over, so now's your chance to get them. To ensure that you receive your album on or around the release date, place your order before June 10. The presale will continue until June 24, but after June 10, we cannot guarantee a release date delivery.

Well, the pre-sale has been up for 1 hour 20 mins now.  Has anyone ordered the new cd ?

And if so, what kind of bundle did you get ? , was it .mp3 songs in your email ? or a download only available on iTunes ?

Just wondering, because all my songs on my iPod are mp3 songs, but these also play on my Sansa mp3 player, and on my laptop.

If it's an iPod only ( direct download to ipod only ) then I'm not that interested in the pre-sale, as the bonus tracks won't serve me much good, and then I guess I have to somehow justify that to myself by saying...I kind of find it more fun waiting to actually see the CD show up at Futureshop or BestBuy, and seeing it for the first time, and picking it up, buying it, taking it home, opening it, and sniffing it for that new-cd smell LOL.

Something magical about seeing it on the shelf for the first time, knowing it's brand spankin' new,  and knowing thousands of others are buying it on that same day.

Ok maybe I'm just a nut.

Hi Frosty - I'm at work and will have to wait until I'm home to do the pre-sale order but here is some info from NicoPop from another thread.   "The songs are 128kbps MP3, you will be able to add them to your iPod and iTunes. The bonus tracks are exclusive to the GBS.com presale."

Hi Robin,

Thanks for the info.  So we now know they are mp3s.  Now to see if it is for iPods only.  I would assume so, meaning they will send you a link to download these tunes off of iTunes ( free of charge ).  If they just emailed the .mp3s songs then they would have no control over who has them,, a smart idea I guess.
