    Kestrel:
If you are checking here at all while in VT, say hi to Doris for me! She was my giftee in my first OKP exchange, so this is particularly appropriate in this thread.  ;)
Doris says Hi, and so does the dragonfly, which is still perched on the curtain!

    Re: Summer Snowflake Exchange

My gift is winging it's way across the border!  Hope the shaky rattly noise doesn't make them open it, and hold it up at the border! And because I can't resist dropping a hint, my recipient has the same name as my Mom, but spells it differently, and lives in a "lovely" place!  tee hee, ain't I a stinker?

Either my gift was already sent here and now sits at the post office or the gift I'm sending finally got here and is sitting at the post office.I'm really curious but I can't pick it up until tomorrow morning...

    Re: Summer Snowflake Exchange

Misty - got it yesterday and it was truly like Christmas in July! Just love all of it, especially the Santa with the bagpipes!  Also, you just happened to pick my absoloute two favorite Maeve Binchy books that I've read over and over, but unfortunately, my copies got "lost" in our move last November!  I was so happy to see them because reading them always feels like going home.  Thanks for my placque for my sewing room and my beach in a jar too!  You were obviously really, really busy!

Andi and Anne, thanks so much again for doing this, it's great fun!

    Thanks again,

    Re: Summer Snowflake Exchange

I got the gift I wanted to send out yesterday but it's not looking good at all. I'm not satisfied and won't be sending that one out. I have to think of something different now so I have to ask for a bit more patience... I already have something else in mind though....

    Re: Summer Snowflake Exchange

Latte Lady!  Thank you so much!  Love the coffee pot, love the bracelet, LOVE the card, love the little Washington pin, oh, and Coffee??  Pfft, it's like you know me!!  lol!  I didn't know Starbucks originated in Washington, that might explain why (they tell me) Starbucks are more prevalent in Vancouver than Tim Hortons, given the proximity to the state of Washington.  Funny enough, it's the second time I've gotten Starbucks coffee in an exchange.  lol!  That's fabulous.  I'd be more than happy to get coffee EVERY time! lol.  Thanks again!  Awesome.  I love these exchanges.  Thanks again to Anne and Andi for doing this!

(I'm worried about my gift, sent it two weeks ago, no word!  Hope it didn't get ripped apart at the border cause it rattled!!  Hmm)

Glad you like the stuff Sharn! I just walked by the original Starbucks at Pike Place a few days ago....yes, Seattle is the Starbucks capitol- that's why we are sometimes called LatteLand! I was pretty sure there was not Starbucks in your neck of the woods, so that's why I chose the that particular coffee! Enjoy!

    Re: Summer Snowflake Exchange

Oh there's Starbucks here, never fear.  But there are 8 in the Metro area (Halifax Dartmouth) as opposed a Tim Hortons on every block. (30 odd locations)  My husband is fond of saying that you go through a Timmies drive through, and once you've driven past 3 other Timmies locations, it should have cooled down enough to drink.  Jester

    Re: Summer Snowflake Exchange

Angie-What a fun day it was yesterday!! I came home from work kind of down-( sometimes working as a nurse in a hospital can do that to you!!)-and the dog was barking like crazy-so I went to the front door and found your package. Whoo-hoo!!! I loved it all-I can really use the lighthouse thirsty stones and they're beautiful. Thank you also for the book, I have never read that particular author but I love to read anything so I'm sure I'll like it, especially if you did. Yeah-music CDs!!-My daughter actually introduced me to their music awhile ago,( there probably isn't a group she HASN"T heard!!) but I don't have that one- it went in the car this morning, to listen to on the way to work and I enjoyed it immensely. It is always so much fun to meet another "Lighthouse " fan also :)-there are a few of us here aren't there !?!(right Anne and Lisa ?!)Anyway-Thank you ,Thank you ,Thank you!! You are the best!! Hopefully I'll see you sometime at a concert-we don't live that far away from each other. Have a great day!! Misty

    Re: Summer Snowflake Exchange

Kati! heart  Thank you!  I'd never even heard of a "Buddha Board," but it's so fun!  I painted a pine-clad hill crowned by sun rays.  And I love the star/starfish!  I'm getting more and more into blue lately, specifically summery Hawaiian-type blues, so it's perfect.  The little soaps smell heavenly, and the turtle is cute with a capital Q.  Thank you so much!  Bounce

    Love, Columbine
