Well, hello everybody in GBS land.  It has been a long time since my last post,,,last Sept. to be exact after the Western Fair show in London.  How is everyone doing.   Are you all going to Molson for the show in July???   What has been going on in GBS land?   I came THIS close to going on the Ships and Dips cruise but other priorities arose.  I plan to make it next time.  Looks like it was great!!!!   Kymbrr, I hope your friend is doing better and I hope to hear from all my GBS friends soon!!  It has been WAY too long.  HOW BOYS, how about another tour in good old Southwestern Ontario. WE MISS YOU HERE!!!!!

Never fear RobbieMc....you can always sign up for Molson Amphitheare email concert list...they will notify you when tickets come on sale.  I as well missed the presale....HOW GBS, HOW ABOUT STARTING A PRESALE AT 7:00 AM  for us workin' stiffs.  That would give us a fair shake.  Or one that starts after 5 PM.

As far as after the show,   if I can score some tickets...a meet up would be a great idear.  Even better, A Before show meet up at Ontario Place for beers!!!!!!!

Hey Sharn......it has been WAY too long.  Sorry for the long absence.  How is Nova Scotia.  Is it cold right now.  Hope things are good.  Things here in John Deere land are busy.  I haven't been around typing much...as you can see.....no concerts...I guess out of sight, out of mind.  No actually one daughter in university keeps me real busy running back and forth.   What's new on the coast.  I hope to get some tix for Molson.  Have you talked to anyone else.  It would be great if we could all have a reunion at Molson....planning at trip to Ontario this summer?????

I missed the Presale too... I haven't had time to do more than sleep (not even meals) at home since Wednesday.

 I'm still trying to convince Granite to come with me, but one if his cousins probably will, she was one of my bridesmaids, and it turns out she's a huge GBS fan!

What the closest decent hotel to Ontariariario Place?  Can I post in this thread without it being a question?

Good idea, Trace, but I think Laura and I will be getting our own room if we get one.  But if we end up at the same place maybe we can share a cab.

So where should we all meet up?  Are we looking at a dinner thing before or a rowdy bar after or both?

The Novotel on the Esplanade is not too far from Ontario Place. I think there is free shuttle in front of the train station, Union Station, on Front Street that will take you right to Ontario Place. Otherwise you can grab a cab there. Also the hotel is across from a couple of cool bars: Fionn MacCools, etc. http://www.novotel.com/fichehotel/gb/nov/0931/fiche_hotel.shtml

Checked it out...The Novotel's rates for July 12th are as follows: Full rate is $399, their best unrestricted rate is $179, their promotional rate that can be changed or cancelled depending on conditions is $159, and the hot deals rat which is no change or cancellation is $149. The Delta Chelsea on Gerrard is $159, tho my sister was at some site and found rooms for $120. Not sure what we'll do. Depends on if we find people to share the room or not.

Robbie...I don't know what everyone is doing, but it's probably easiest to just meet up at Ontario Place earlier in the day, then go out after the concert. It IS a bonus that a bar is right across from the Novotel. I don't want to have pay too much cab fare or have to walk too far after the revelling!

Tickets haven't arrived yet, but usually at the ampitheatre the opening act goes on at 7:00.
