These guys ROCK! I agree with whomever said something about what amuses guys... lol. :) I became a GBS fan in... late 2005 (I think), so this was after the Hard and The Easy was released, so I got to catch a few shows... but this time around I am full force into pre-album, more shows, and the excitment is HUGE. I have fallen hard for these guys, hehehe. Espeically Sean. Cutie! :) Great guys! Great music! Great fun! Always make me smile, happy... a good cry... laugh. And I swear their music is all that will put my now 9 month old daughter to sleep in the car if she's being little miss fuss ball about it. Just the voices, music... :) WOO!!!

Squeezy, the biographical stuff on the Great Big DVD tells us that Alan's mother was (is?) a piano teacher. Presumably, he learned to play.

ETA: We're listening to Here and Now & Love Me Tonight on GBS's facebook page repeatedly or "again again again" as the toddler puts it! Anyone else pick up on the whole "sean got robbed" thing in one of the videos?? Sean says how they made off with money and his wedding ring or sumthing.....did that really happen? cuz he seemed oddly calm about it...

Yes, thanks Tina.Quite amusing. Sean reminds me of my brother and now something seems wrong with me being a Shantyfan!  One suggestion tho...maybe you can edit your first post with a little 'warning' about the use of the word that rhymes with duck that is used quite frequently...if kids are present, maybe use headphones or wait till they're not around. I wish I'd known before I listened at full volume with Chelsea 4 feet away on the couch. All is well, she's not scarred for life or anything, I just wish I'd known before Alan started yelling, "*uck, *uck, *uck"!
