I have been a fan of Pat McGee Band since the mid 90s just a few years before I dicovered GBS.  PMB took root here in northern VA so they were my local band and you could see them play all over the place.  I have always been impressed with their talent but moreso with the way they treat their fans and their current and former members and families.  Tragedy struck a little over a year ago when they lost their drummer and these guys have  pitched in public and very private ways to make sure things are going ok with his family and the charities that he supported.  Now I just learned that the drummer's brother was killed in Iraq this past week.

Even though they have been together since the early 1990's I think their shows are better now...I snagged tickets for the Wolf Trap show in July -- it is always a highlight with many old faces showing up to jam! 

So, if you get a chance to see Pat or his band, definitely go. 

I was not at the show, but am NOT surprised that GBS fans listen to and are open to the opening acts. Been there too .

I have a buddy that has gone to 3 Stephen Kellogg & the Sixers shows after seeing them in Ridgfield last year.  They got a standing O from GBS fans. I am not even going to harp on the semi-commercial nature of the thank you post!

Howmany GBS fans now support Carbon Leaf atfter the tour of  was it 4 years ago?

As fans we pretty much rule.
