There was something in the Newfoundland Herald from Hawksley Workman as well. They did an interview with him, I believe.
..."They were very different records, but both of them were very exciting to produce," Workman stated in a phone interview with The Herald about the upcoming projects. "Both the Great Big Sea and the Hey Rosetta! record are records that I'm extremely, extremely proud to be a part of."
"With Great Big Sea, those guys wanted to try and make something new and different. We were writing together and it was very much about a spontaneous feel. I was very involved with them on a ground level with them and that was wonderful." He's very complimentary about working with the famed Newfoundland traditional band.
"Those guys are three of the smartest people I've ever met and also, three of the funniest people I've ever met," he says with a chuckle. "I never felt so dumb and not funny in my whole life. We went to a lot of different places musically."
If Great Big Sea had a soul, Its name would be Alan. Unfortunately, a degree in religious studies has evidently done little to prevent him from dealing with the devil... Either way, wherever he goes, I'll be right there behind him. -Sean McCann
