Don't lose heart Lady of Perpetual Hope and Snickerlicious Humor, where would we all be then? If you build it they will come!

In the meantime, aim for Irish 2000.

Here's a couple of pix from the Atlantic City Show... they're not great... cause we had to sneak them... and they are a little dark. Was a great show!

I'm not around the OKP much these days, but it's always nice to see familiar faces. See you this summer, I hope, Anne and the rest of you OKPeople! :)

Click on your name. It will take you to a page with what looks like file folders. Choose avatar and put in the URL of your picture. If it's not already online, you're SOL.

Not exactly - you can upload it to this site's server, but I think it has to be a small file size.

Jenny - Nice job sneaking those photos. This was a really terrific show with soooo many great photo opportunities. It was agonizing not to have a camera! Thanks for sharing.

That's what the bartender at the bar we went to after the show kept saying, too. "Watch out for that one." I wonder how he knew, maybe he's on the OKP?

    Re: Atlantic City HOB Show

    Murtha,

I found the info. in quotes below from an old OKP post:

"The way most people get avatars is to simply find a picture that they like, save a copy of it to their local hard drive, and then load it into their favorite graphics program to edit it as necessary to use it as an avatar. For example, on the OKP you need a picture that's 100x100 pixels in size. So any picture you can find or create that matches that size can be loaded up to the OKP for use."

Once you have the picture the right size, go to your account and under Board info. click on the Avatar tab, click on "enable Avatar"; then click browse and find the pic on your hard drive (desktop or wherever) and open the pic and then click Update.  If the picture is the correct size - 100 x 100, the URL will automatically appear.  I am going on memory here how I did mine, so I hope this works.  The important thing is the picture has to be the right size or it won't work.

    Good luck!

    Robin

I'm sure my avatar was bigger than that. I think the system alters it to fit but I could be wrong.

Fran's right. Important part to remember is, the avatar is a square - if it's a rectangle, sometimes it'll warp the image. (But sometimes not. Haven't figured out when it doesn't yet.)

And the file has to be small. Not sure how small, though.

    Re: Atlantic City HOB Show

I absolutely loved the show Friday night!  My friend and I had already been to two GBS concerts within the past year (and are kicking ourselves for not going on the cruise), but we were bringing a "newbie".  It was almost as much fun watching her as it was watching the band (like I said ALMOST).  After much drama with our shuttle ride over to the venue, we finally arrived 10 minutes after the doors opened, but we were still able to get pretty close to the front.  By the end of the night, we were about 3 rows from the stage.  I asked the "newbie" if this had satisified her craving to see Sean, and she said it only made it worse.  LOL

I was able to get some pictures (and a video for River Driver).  Now I just have to figure out how to get them off my phone. :o)

I was very excited when Alan said they would be playing the Philly Folk fest in a couple months.  I am just confused because the Folk Fest is actually in August, and I was under the impression he was talking about the next month or two.  No matter.  I am there!

This is actually my first time posting on the boards, and it is nice to see so many people that were there Friday.  Now I just have to figure out a way to get a VIP pass for when they come back around again so I could actually get to meat the boys.  That would just be the icing on the cake.

Let it go, let it go. This is smaller than you know.

    Tina
