Teddy!  That video is AWESOME!  Hair and cutoff jeans aside, the b'ys look exactly the same 11 years later. They sounded great back then too.

It just looks so strange because I have never seen a GBS concert devoid of vertical movement!

I wondered about that too!  At first glance I didnt' think it was going over all that well, but a crowd shot showed lots of people swaying to the beat and/or bouncing on their knees.  I wonder if there was a prohibition on standing?  I dont' know if I could handle that!

So where do you think they hang the disfigured portrait of the band that allows them to look so youthful?Hmm

Now, it seems a bit strange that no-one was bouncing around, but you have to remember that it was 100 degrees F in the shade that time, and most of us had partaken somewhat of the freely-flowing Guinness which is a staple diet at the Cambridge Folk Festival.  Vertical movement can turn horizontal very quickly Wink

This was their second set of the weekend - the first was on Stage 2 (much smaller) and was fairly sparsely attended.  Then, come the next day, word had got around and you couldn't get within ... well, a LONG way from Stage 1!

I was up on the disabled platform with my sister, who has rheumatoid arthritis, so I got a great view. Mostly of Bob, which would explain a lot.   If you look at the shot across to Stage Bob you can see a bright orange T-shirt up on the disabled bit, that was my bro-in-law and I was right beside him (21 stone and a bright orange T-shirt - we could spot him among 10,000 people fairly easily).

I've got a load of old stuff formerly from the late, lamented Mike's Great Big Download Site, which I'm planning to try to convert and put up on my Youtubes in the near future.  Watch this space!
