    Re: ?? For The Cruisers

I have no idea what the set lists would look like. After the second night it was all pretty much in flux on stage. I did hear four new songs for the very first time. This is my honest impression of each in the order I heard them.

Tonight -- awesome all round, great hook, throbbing guitars, wicked vocals

Walk on the Moon -- a winner, another great 'Carpe Diem' themed song, strong melody and vocals

Straight to Hell -- good, definitely suited to the live show, didn't hook me as hard and fast as the first two

Oh yeah -- Wha happen...?! not for me, seems OZZY OZ inspired, weird facial contortions

    Re: ?? For The Cruisers

I did somehow manage to get setlists from both of the Lido Deck shows, although they did get changed up quite a bit.  I will post them later on tonite after I am home (this working crap SUCKS!) and try to indicate the changes that I can recall...  which may be kind of dicey.  When Sean sings about some of the girls being loaded drunk   Beer... well... um... that was us.... at at least one of the shows.  Looking forward to THOSE pictures rearing their ugly heads!  Angel

Walk on the Moon was incredible :)

I took a photo of the set list from the last Lido show, but they changed stuff around so I'm not sure how accurate it is anymore.

    Hi Lorelei99,

My girls have a copy of each set list.  When I find the third I'll knock them off for you.

    Cheers,

    Re: ?? For The Cruisers

I know for the Sail Away show (2nd show) they sang Mermaid -- the night before we asked them to play it and to our surprise, they did, though I"m sure others asked as well, tooWink  And they also played Six Months in a Leaky Boat. Were those in place of Penelope and Scolding, though I thought Mermaid came earlier in the setlist?

All in all, three wonderful shows with lots of new fans generated.  I think that's what made it so great -- you'd hear so many conversations in passing about how wonderful Great Big Sea performed!Paradise

    Re: ?? For The Cruisers

Also the final show the last encore was "Rant and Roar" before they led the stampede over to see the last of the Gaelic Storm set, I remember that pretty well because I never saw it live before

    Re: ?? For The Cruisers

Thanks for all the stories/pics of the cruise, everyone.  It looks like it was incredibly fun.  Didn't have anyone to go with this year, but if GBS is aboard next year, I'm simply going to have to beg or bribe someone to come along. :-)

I'm sure someone would already have mentioned this if they had, but the boys didn't mention when the new CD might be coming out, did they?

Alan did, but he was pretty vague -- spring, I think

You flipped shows 2 and 3. The kiwi in me was happy to hear 6 months on a leaky boat by Split Endz- I was the only one around me that new that one. On the set list (at least Sean's) it's typed as six mouths - and we couldnt figure out what it was before they started playing it.  Also they cut out Excursion and Fortune b/c of all the antics with Ed.
