Does anyone know if GBS.com gets all the orchestra A-L seats?  I was thinking of purchasing my tickets from Wolf Trap, so that I could choose my seats (I'd like to get in the center section, even if a bit further back, because I don't like being right in front of the speakers -- I get migraines, and the noise can be a bit much there), but I'd hate to wait and have no chance of getting anywhere closer than row L.  Not that there are any bad seats if you're seeing GBS, but ...

There is a place to enter special requests when you go through the pre-sale -- yours would seem to qualify more than mine of "front row please"  But I  would suggest composing exactly what you want to say beforehand so you don't waste time thinking about it in the pre-sale craze...first come, best seats

this may be a bit random to post here but since I'm asking this for the upcoming show what the heck...I've noticed that many OKPers have pics or signed stuff from when they met the b'ys after the show...how on earth do you go about doing this???...I'd really like to meet them even for just a few minutes at this show since I don't know when they'll be coming back to the DC area.

I simply lucked out and saw Alan Doyle walking down the street about 45 min. before their show at the Warner Theatre in DC last April.  He had been to Starbucks.  I stopped him and he was kind enough to take a picture.  So, with me, it was just a stroke of luck.  I think a lot of it depends on where you are.  Like, someone mentioned they ran into Alan in the casino after the AC show last Fri.  I've seen them at Wolf Trap before and didn't have an opportunity to meet them.  I saw Kris and Murray walking around at Shamrock Fest last Sat.  Sometimes if you can get to their bus you can catch a glimpse.  . Perhaps someone else will write with a suggestion.  I hope your dream comes true.

My experience these past 3 years of GBS concerts is, don't expect a meet and greet. A handful of us found our way back to the tour bus after Lisner last year and got turned away by security. Guess the guys just weren't up for it. At Wolftrap they flew out the door with their pants on fire I'm guessing. But hey, the concert is more than enough for me to get my 'fix' so I just gotta stop being such a fangirl and get over it. Next year for me though.

Yippee!  Got my tix!  Now I just hope they're good seats - we're new to the area, so haven't been to Wolf Trap before.  I know on some older posts people were griping that the presale tix weren't the best seats, so we will see!

Is it usually sold out less than 30 seconds in? This is worse than when BNL used to have a ticket lottery, it's one of the most frustrating things ever. (Seriously, ticketmaster has less painful presales). 

Keep trying - I probably had to try about 6-7 times getting that message until it was free - it's like a queue, I guess, only so many people can be purchasing at any one time.  It's only 11:09, so I would keep trying!

The system can handle many, many people at the same time.  The issue you are experiencing is due to the fact that all of the tickets are currently reserved by other customers.  Please keep trying as we are not sold out yet.

 

yea! we got our tickets. now its just hoping for good seats.... not that rows A-L could be that bad.

well, my boss just decided he needs me in his office, so I can't, unfortunately.  15 minutes wasted at work hitting refresh with nothing to show for it.

 

(reserved but not sold out - so basically I am hitting refresh on the off-chance someone gets tickets and then decides not to buy them?) 

 

(ETA: I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be cranky, but I guess I just wasn't expecting this to be this difficult. I'll know better for next time that it's a luck of the draw thing, not a time thing).

 

(ETA Again because I don't want to reply to myself:) Oh well, back from my boss and still getting the same message - I'm giving up. I'll try Ticketmaster when the real sale starts, and again the week of the show. :D
It's not like I really should be spending the $ to get to DC anyway, but it's nice to have an excuse to visit my parents.

Hi there -- all tickets are reserved but we are not sold out yet.

What does that mean - people have gotten in, but not finished their transaction?  Doesn't sound very promising- how many people are going to abandon their transaction - I wouldn't think very many.
